Ann's Kitchen

Brunch here is the best. They have really great breakfast options - eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, etc. The service is really nice as well. I've never actually had lunch or dinner at Ann's Kitchen, but if you're ever looking for somewhere to eat breakfast or lunch, this is definitely the place to go to!

Excellent! A top-notch breakfast diner -- try the 'Western' with avocado in place of ham, they use a perfect ratio of cheddar cheese to spinach, mushroom, and onion. Their eggs are light and perfectly cooked in a manner that allows them to retain their 'succulence', a word you not use to describe omelletes at many breakfast diners. The home-style potatoes which accompany the eggs are great! This restaurant was voted to the 'Best of Berkeley' and with good reason!

While the food is tasty, the service is terrible. Not only is the restaurant loud, but the impression I got while eating was that the cook was a hateful disrespectful man. While I ate my french toast, I had to listen to him degrade his employees by throwing profanities at them, and being as negative as possible. I like to eat good food, but I like to be around good people more. If you're into kind folk, don't eat at this place.
