This is arguably one of the best veggie sandwiches I had in my life! (It’s the Beringela one!) I am Brazilian but I never seen sandwiches made out of cheese bread before, it’s just genius!

Since I'm a big fan of Pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), it's so grateful to come across this place. They sell not only cooked cheese breads but also frozen ones which I can cook anytime at home whenever I want to eat them! (I was making them from scratch before I found them.) They have some sandwiches with the cheese bread also. (gluten free) The chewy texture of the bread goes well with their sandwiches' filings surprisingly. Well, if you're really a big fan of Pao de queijo, I reccomend to try this place! Thank you, Desirre, Karla and another lady(I forgot to ask her name :p) I'll be back soon! :D

The staff here really know how to cook! We ordered a picanha (steak) sandwich on ciabatta and an order of yucca garlic fries to share. Note that it costs $3 more to get the sandwich on ciabatta, from the regular $10 on cheese bread. However, we were told that it is also more sizable (see the picture for our order), so we upgraded to share. The textures were all on point. The picanha steak was sooo tender and delicious. They could've run an excellent steakhouse instead! It rests on a little bed of salad made of kale, arugula, and sundried tomatoes. The yucca fries were perfectly fried and crispy on the outside, with a delicious punch of garlic flavor, and they include just enough ketchup for all the fries (at our rate of dip-page). I will say that the sandwich could have used more flavor. We drizzled balsamic vinegar over both the sandwich and the salad (didn't come with any noticeable dressing) once we got home, but sorely missed the flavorful, creamy, green sauce we usually get from another local Brazilian establishment. Additionally, although we loved the taste and texture, we thought that the price for the fries is ultimately not worth it. You could get the same bomb flavor from garlic fries at any Super Duper chain, for half the price, and comparable quality. Note that their kitchen closes half an hour earlier than their posted hours! We made the mistake before of coming just a bit under that timeframe and tragically getting turned away. They also have a clean restroom in the back. 5 stars for the textures, assembly, and staff! They can definitely cook well. :) That said, due to the distance for us, cost, and general flavors, we will personally probably not be coming back anytime soon. If we lived in the area, the sandwich would make a seriously great occasional meal!

My açaí bowl was really bad. The peanut butter tasted like Jiff, which is just not the quality you’d expect, and there was way too much of it. Truly at least 1/2 a cup if not more which was over powering. Similarly there were so many hemp seeds I couldn’t get a bite without my spoonful being half full of them. The blueberries were previously frozen and mushy. My husband got his açaí bowl with honey instead of peanut butter, but still got peanut butter anyway. Be aware if you have allergies. We also got the Brazilian cheese bread, which was tasty but they gave us the jalapeño instead of garlic.

Brasilian groceries and cafe/restaurant that will make you feel back in Brazil - stocked up on all the basics, reiquijao, pao de queijo (they sell it frozen so you can bake it whenever you want at home), frozen yucca fries for quick cooking at home, and all the best chocolate treats. Great place for a home cooked plate plus pantry staples

This is a good Brazilian joint in Albany. The place is small and sitting is a challenge. Just a couple of high table inside and two tables on the street. Food is tasty. But portions are small for the price we paid. Solano Avenue is also a challenge to find parking. So I recommend you come during times there is no many people. Weekends are difficult to find parking. Cheese bread is a good treat to eat with a coffee or passion fruit juice

Excellent sandwich! Came after a hike in the hills and was hungry. Three thick slabs of steak with excellent flavoring. The cuts did have quite a bit of fat, which I normally don't care for, but the fat with season and bread was good. Small side salad with nice vinaigrette. Very filling with so much protein - didn't get a chance to try their popular little breads. Fraud I was so hungry, I forgot to note what I ordered. But they said it was their best selling / most popular. Not a lot of seating - a few high tables inside and some on sidewalk. Clean, spacious bathroom. Helpful, friendly staff.
