The gentlemen who run this place are always kind and polite. They make great sandwiches on the spot as well as cappuccinos, espressos and iced drinks. They are my go to spot for on the go meals when I'm in Berkeley. Love those guys.

The staff are wonderful! Polite, fast and interested in helping people in line quickly. I had to come in for some light refreshments and coffee for a meeting that popped up first thing in the morning. The guys at K's handled it no problem. They made a large air-pot full of coffee for my meeting and put together a selection of pastries in a to-go box that the people at the meeting really enjoyed. All while still ensuring other customers in line were not kept waiting. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness in realizing people who stop in usually don't have much time and need quick service. I really enjoy their selection of bagels and pastries. They have some very tasty bars with oats, jams and chocolate. They just started selling yummy smoothies too.
Acknowledge K's for what it is, a quick stop cafe where you can get a fresh made bagel breakfast sandwich and a coffee to go as you are running to class or work. They do a wonderful job at providing a huge variety of food and drink options (which isn't easy sometimes here in Berkeley) along with having WiFi, if you want to sit and stay a while, all on your path to work, school or home.

The coffee and bagels are great at this cafe. The only thing I didn’t like about my experience was not feeling like a valued customer. At the time of my visit, I sat to drink my coffee while watching Netflix (without earphones). The volume of my mobile device was loud enough for me to hear and I believe it was at an average volume overall. There was far more background noise and chit chatting in general which of course I’m ok with. A group of students at the next table turned back to me and said to turn off my device or leave the cafe shop because they were trying to study. It was a shocker to me because 1. I had actually purchased from this shop and I had a right to be there regardless of what I was doing. 2. These group of students did not purchase anything 3. The cashier guy called me out and 4. I didn’t know ao couldn’t watch Netflix while i drank my coffee.
Overall I did not feel like a valued customer.

Tranquility and coffee, best of both worlds. Their bagels are delicious and the scent of fresh made pastries fill the void between strangers. A nice place to hang out with friends or a book!

Don't understand the positive reviews here. The TV in the cafe is blaring political news, and surly guy at the counter couldn't care less. Windows seem to have been washed last a long time ago. I didn't dare order any coffee, but juice from the bottle is at least ok!

Stopped.for a toasted pastrami sandwich. The sandwich was not toasted and otherwise boating and uninspiring. The kind you prepare yourself under 2 minutes at home from cheap and generic ingredients.
Not stopping by here again.

I asked for a toasted sandwich. Got a cold one.
Also, it took a bizarrely long time to take my order despite what looked like 4 people working the back standing around but only one person actually seeming to do all the work (taking orders, making drinks, prepping food). Poor guy. 1 star for the 4 of them, 5 for the overworked soul.
