The good: Prices are pretty reasonable for Berkeley in 2022. And you can always get a table because there's never a wait, even for a sunny weekend brunch rush. Bathrooms are pretty clean.
The bad: The service is terrible, like, really, really terrible. The food isn't very good either.

Stay home and learn to make your own breakfast. Any mishaps you have along the way will surely result in more creativity than this place can muster. Plentiful but boring. Nice space, but the waiter scraping gum off chair bottoms in full view of diners did nothing for the ambiance.

I was not satisfied with meal. The pancakes tasted like a regular Bisquick mix and my friend could not eat her soup (it was that bad). It was a calm atmosphere, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I was a little nervous because of the location, but we gave it a try.. food was so good and filling and the best part was, affordable! Being in San Fran and paying $20 plus for some eggs and potatoes- this was a breath of fresh air

3.5 ⭐ Good staples breakfast, but not particularly memorable. The giant mimosas are 20 oz but heavy on the oj. The turkey sausage was definitely on the dry side (that turkey died more than once for the breakfast). The croissant french toast was good, but I don't know that it was enough better than the original to be worth a butter-based bread as the base. On the other hand, I was full all day off the one meal, so I definitely ate more than I left on the plate.

Great food, great espresso drinks, unique vibe (you can literally touch the vault door from the bank that used to be there!) — and easy on your wallet too. Been there many times, will come again.

The service was great, checked in on us. I liked the fact that everyone working worked together. Much better than i read on the reviews. The french toast was amazing, mimosa was big and worth it. The egg scrambled with zucchini, tomato and egg really good. Just added feta and spinach made it pop! Great food and great people.
