Benson City Grille

My husband and I ate dinner for the first time here on September 17th 2021. We wanted to sit on the patio even though there are mosquitoes they provided us with citronella candles which was very nice. We ordered the fish tacos they were actually real fish and they were delicious! They also come with a side of chips and salsa the chips were homemade they were also very crunchy and delicious. You have got to try their mojitos they are not too sweet nor too sour also the jalapeno margarita which is in the picture. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice evening definitely a lot better than Pablo's. I did not give them five stars because I wish they were open more days of the week.

Very nice place to eat. However...very limited on employees, cooks, servers, etc. Waited over an hour for our food. We (2 of us) were the 4th lunch table with a party of six ahead of us. One server, who by the way was very nice, but could not handle 4 tables by herself. One cook who could not keep up. No prepper for the cook, so no fruit cut up, tomatoes, lettuce etc. 😕 we understood being towards the end of the season and covid and all but we still had a schedule to meet. Next time I will call ahead to see if they are fully employed before I come.

Today we went for brunch at 11AM. There were a few other tables full. We were told by our waitress that they were out of biscuits & gravy, no sausage, ham, eggs ben. I ordered avacado toast with fresh fruit. We waited with no silverware and drank our coffee but had to ask for regular cream. After a long time passed we were told that they were "out of eggs also!" My husband ordered a cheese burger. The fries that came with it were so salty he didn't eat them. My toast had almost no avacado ( I'm pretty sure they ran out of that too) and there was a dish of cottage cheese with it. I did ask for fruit that was supposed to come with it. She said they would have to "cut some fruit up!" It came later. The bill was not discounted so we paid and walked out with another family. I asked them how their meals were and they said they were cold and late and like us, out of several things. Their comments were that it was their first & last time there and we agreed with them!
