Jensen's is a consistently enjoyable experience. I'd say they always provide a meal like Mom used to make, but Mom never cooked as well as they do it at Jensen's😁.
The staff is always attentive, though never annoying. The fried chicken and fish are consistently a pleasure experience.

Such a great place. Try to go here every time I'm in the Shires. Great food at amazing prices and absolutely the nicest staff anywhere. What else can you say?

Absolutely the best breakfast ever. My husband and I ordered a malted Belgian waffle with real Vermont Maple Syrup, country fried steak with sausage gravy, eggs, deep fried potatoes and toast, the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy, eggs and deep fried potatoes. Milk, OJ and coffee. It was fresh, what was supposed to be hot was hot and what was supposed to be cold was cold. Service was prompt, although the place was packed. The servers were friendly yet extremely busy. We will return when visiting Vermont.

Easy parking at 7pm on a Thursday. It was not too busy. We were seated and beverages were served quickly. I ordered the fried seafood platter which was plentiful and tasty. I was disappointed the kitchen ran out of coleslaw. But, they close at 8pm so I can't complain too much.
My companion ordered fried chicken. It was very juicy and cooked to perfection.
Over all a great meal for a reasonable cost.

Had breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days. The menu is a good variety of simple fare. The French toast with "real syrup" was a pleasant surprise. Their BLT with light mayo was excellent for lunch. The fried chicken wrap was an outstanding dinner. The portions were just right. Their service at all three meals on different days was quick, courteous, and very friendly. One staff member noted that I left my car window open and that it was supposed to rain soon. Great place to eat in Bennington!

Excellent food and exceptional staff. The hostess was amazing. These were the best pancakes I’ve ever had—slightly crisp on the outside and a soft and fluffy inside. Perfection!

We walked in very close to closing time and I expected to see the eye rolls and maybe even some come on we want to leave attitude. Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised that was not the case. The wait staff was very welcoming and friendly and the food was better than expected.
If you find yourself near here it's well worth the stop, and I am looking forward to going back again.

Had dinner with my wife and in-laws a couple nights ago. Amazing fried chicken and sides. They are well known around here for their chicken. My wife and I also shared a piece of in-house made chocolate pie, that was pretty much like Heaven on a plate. Great prices and servers.
