Don’t let the modest appearance fool you, this is the real thing. 🇮🇹 You do not have to order multiple courses.Great wine menu and excellent location, too. Make a reservation, they fill up fast and will not seat you. If you’re with a large group, come early for a wine tasting next door. We will tell all our friends. 🍷

Italian restaurants can be so hit or miss that we rarely go out for Italian - as in I think we have been out for Italian food maybe 4 times in the last 5 years, including this dinner. I am a very particular person when it comes to dining out - we have been in the food service industry basically forever, so we have high expectations when we go out for a nice meal. I made a reservation for my fiancés birthday and was a little nervous based on the mixed reviews here, but I took a risk! We are so thrilled that we took the leap with this one! The tagliatelle with mushrooms and the filet entree special were both fantastic - I would eat this every day if I could (I would be as big as a house, but that’s irrelevant here 😂)! The pasta was, and I don’t use this word often when describing food - especially pasta, perfectly cooked, the texture was perfect - it’s right up there with some really nice Italian places in New York (better than 1 of them) - seriously, it is. The server was nice and friendly. I didn’t use the bathroom, so I can’t speak to that as others have. The 2 things I would suggest would be to have better by the glass wine options, the reds specifically. They aren’t terrible, but at the same time, they are not exciting and they could be soooo much better. Also, please update the menu on the website. People - do yourselves a favor and go eat some pasta and steak! 😋 I can’t wait to go back for our next date night!
Went here to celebrate our anniversary & while our server wasn’t the friendliest, their authentic Italian food made up for it. Everything we tried was phenomenal, especially the meatballs! Also, the ciabatta bread is made with Italian flour and didn’t hurt my gluten sensitive stomach. Win-Win!Trattoria Sbandati is probably our fav Italian restaurant splurge in Bend.
The food was above par, absolutely spectacular.
Our server Kristen is the best. She has been the only server we have had, coincidently, when dining here and she is a master of her craft!
So kind, so knowledgeable of the menu.
Quite honestly one of the big reasons we return.

Despite the reservation I thought I had made not showing they found a seat for us. Service was phenomenal (Alyssa?). Excellent food and dining experience.
Best kept secret in Bend! Stopped here for a glass of wine. The wine was great, reasonably priced, and the staff were all incredible! Thank you ladies for such a great experience!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review! Amazing!! trattoria sbandati opened so I could have my elopement/small wedding dinner there. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful and we had an absolutely beautiful evening ❤️

Trattoria Sbandati has a cozy, upscale vibe with an open view into the kitchen. The menu is highly opinionated (no substitutions please), a sign of a head chef with knowledge and confidence. The dishes are authentic. Divided into courses, you should look forward to enjoying multiple plates. Even something as simple as sauteed spinach is amazing here.
Take your time and enjoy the various flavors. You won't be disappointed here.
