Dominick's Pizzeria

While working a shift on Critical Care - STCU #401 stopped by Medic Unit #204 and discussed Pizza, other favorite foods and restaurants visited or planned on visiting. John Finn told me about a local Pizzeria in Wall Township that has added a style of Pizza known as Detroit Style. Throughout the Shift, researched the establishment - Dominick's Pizzeria on New Bedford across from the High School's. Shift was over, made a drive-by and stopped in. Told them what I was looking for, after a little discussion, asked for a whole Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers and onions. I also asked them to reheat a Grandma slice which was tasty and very delicious. As the pie was made I spoke to the new owner who has been in business for a little over 6 months after purchasing the Pizzeria from the original owners. At one time the place was named Luke's. The pie was very impressive when it was brought out of the oven steaming hot. As I cautiously and expediently drove home with the pleasing and distinct aroma of what hopefully would be a delicious eating experience. The trip - drive took 28 minutes, brought it into the house, changed out of work clothes and plated the meal. The pizza was still very warm when Kit Dwight and I sat down to eat. The sauce, toppings and cheese was outstanding. The crust had a stiffness and fluffyness, the cheese was crusty around the edge as described by the Masters of this Pizza style from Detroit have published. Now the owner had told me that he had a customer approach him that was familiar with this item of deliciousness several months ago after opening. Actually, he has only been producing it for 3 months and I have to say, he hit the mark!!! Next time I am in the area, I will need to stop by to have the plain version which they make daily and sell by the slice. It's usually sold out by mid afternoon. I guess, I will and do recomend everyone give it a try and stop in.

The food here is really good. I used to stop in here after school sometimes since it was right across the street from the high school. However I have only found myself here once or twice since I graduated. The food is good but the location itself isn't the best. It's a bit of a hassle to get in and out of but that doesn't make the food or service any worse.

Heard this place is under new ownership and I have to say the food was delicious. Had the broccoli cavatelli and my son had the spaghetti with meatballs and both dishes were exceptional. The garlic bread, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, was some of the best I've had. I'll definitely be back!

My family and I have just moved in the neighborhood, and have been searching for a local pizzeria to really get your mouth watering. Well let me tell you about Dominick's Pizzeria it is by far the best place I've been too. It reminds me of the local shops when I was a young girl. Their subs UNBELIEVABLE Their pizza AMAZING DID YOU KNOW THEY MAKE THEIR OWN SAUCE AND HOMEMADE MEATBALLS?!? The place is absolutely phenomenal, and the staff! The girls are so sweet and the guys in the back are such a joy. I will be ordering from here all the time. You've won me over!!
