Acropolis Cafe Restaurant

Fantastic and delicious diner experience in Belmar with comfortable outdoor seating and friendly staff. It's the kind of restaurant where you feel like you would eventually befriend the owner and get to know everyone who works there as you become a regular. If I lived in Belmar, I'd be here very often.

Experienced a wonderful sunrise today in Belmar and then went to the Acropolis Restaurant on Main Street for a fabulous breakfast. Well Rich had breakfast as he ordered the hungry man breakfast while I could no resist having the Gyro. Rich was so jealous of my gyro that he stated lets come back for lunch before even finishing his breakfast! His breakfast was delicious too. Michelle our waitress is the perfect textbook picture of what every restaurant owner hopes for. Happy and chipper first thing in the morning to every single person who walks in. She knew exactly when to ask how you liked your food, if you wanted more coffee etc. Everyone here is so welcoming and they all make you feel like family immediately. Social distancing is perfect, they sanitize in between each customer, they supply a bottle on the table for your comfort and every other table and counter stools are marked as not to be used. They had ceiling fans going and the front door open for extra ventilation. And as before inside dining opened up, they continue to have outdoor seating as well. I moved here 20 years ago and they were here, they remain to this day and you will know why once you eat here. Fantastic family run business with great staff, extremely fair prices, and the nostalgia of an old world greek cafe. Cannot wait to go back and it appears we will be dong that for lunch today :) Wonderful experience. Latest news 7/2022 Andy has brought in t shirts! Support local business... We adore this place

Stopped for breakfast on way out of town with the entire family, because Greek diner for breakfast is a can't miss. Banana pancakes, blueberry pancakes, hash, omelette, hungry man and kids pancakes were really good.. Eggs Benedict ok but eggs overdone. Did not catch name of waitress, but she had red hair and was awesome!

The Acropolis is a 5-star dining establishment posing as a down home country diner. Everything thing about our breakfast experience was top notch. First thing, the food. Large portions, small prices, authentic and delicous, Attractive decor, friendly andprofessional staff, relaxed atmosphere, you cant ask for more for breakfast. . Since all tables were full we sat at the bar and were lucky enough to be near the grill where we watched the seasoned owner artfully create orders. He introduced himself to us and ended up being the highlight of our time here. Andreas was a pleasure to talk with and watch. Our waitress was fast, friendly and organized. We are here for two days and will be back tomorrow morning

Was walking threw Belmar this morning and passed by as this place opened. Sometimes life works in mysterious ways. Nice place, the owner was very nice. Lots to choose from, decided with the Irish omelet w/ turkey sausage, nice portion absolutely delicious 😋. The French toast, I almost ordered ( looked good ). Worth a look, you won't be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍

We had a very positive experience. We dined outside, which was pleasant. The staff was attentive enough without being overbearing. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, and some could not finish thier servings. No one left hungry due to portioning. My biggest concern is that it can get crowded. It is obviously popular enough that getting a table at certain hours can be a challenge.
