Every year my boss hosts a holiday party at one of the local establishments. It's one of the only things I look forward to every year and every restaurant she's chosen always knocks it out of the park and this one is no different. The drinks are lovingly crafted and taste amazing, the food is even better when shared with great company so the more the merrier, but definitely make a reservation! I didn't catch our servers name but he was prompt, polite, and engaging. Every dish, even repeated (several folks got the ribs for example) were identical and not a single complaint heard amongst me or my fellow friends. Spectacular night out, y'all made it unforgettable.

Very thoughtful menu for both food and drink. Absolutely delighted by their version of a scotch egg. The bao - a crunchy cushy tofu Big Mac of my dreams (seriously, I can’t stop thinking about it). Cocktails are above and beyond… unique, creative and punchy. Extremely impressed and genuinely pissed that I’ve waited so long to take the trip over.

I can't believe this is in rural Vermont. I lived in Boston and Providence, where I'm used to being able to find the-kinda-secret-cozy-place-with-amazing-food-and-cocktails (see: the Courtland Club in Providence RI!) and I didn't expect that to be easy to find in VT when I moved here. I went here for my birthday and was impressed with the quality & creativity of the dishes, the amazing drinks, and the superb hospitality. I was sad I wasn't hungrier because I wanted to try it all. The bao were exceptional, and spare ribs were perfect, and I can't get over the tuna tostada. A+++ can't wait to go back!!

We stopped in for a couple drinks and appetizers and planned to have dinner elsewhere. However after trying the food, promptly cancelled those plans and had our full dinner at Wunderbar. It’s really a special atmosphere, very urbane and buzzy yet relaxed and unpretentious. Such warm service from the staff! The polenta fries were very unique but comforting and we also enjoyed the miso muscles…and squash curry was like anything I’ve had before— it was delicious. Bravo Wunderbar team!!

I absolutely love this place. I'm local and didn't know about it until someone recommended it. It is now my favorite local restaurant. The food and cocktails were amazing, and the service top notch. It has quirky decor and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend Wunderbar.

Visiting from MA and seeing a show at the opera house next door. Delighted by the whole experience. The decor was so fun and creative. The service was friendly and attentive. And the food was sooo good. My friend and I shared 4 small plates and everything was beautiful to look at, fresh and tasty. Dessert and coffee also wonderful. Menu clearly labeled for vegan and GF diets. Quality was high and prices were fare. Wish we lived closer!!

LOVE going to Wunderbar. The meals are unique and delicious and the mixed drinks are out of this world. Everything is beautiful in the restaurant, from the cool and funky decor, to the beautifully crafted dishes and drinks. And the background music is just right too, very hip and cool. I can’t believe this is down the street from our home and we don’t have to drive four hours to the Lower East Side for this wunderful experience. We had fish tacos, pretzels with house-made mustards (not your mom’s pretzels or mustard), and falling-off-the-bone baby-back ribs in a sauce to die for. I ordered the Mezcalita drink and was not disappointed! Such a great place.

Wunderbar was suggested by the owner of the vintage shop to my friend and I. We had a blast at the bar enjoying the amazing drinks and food- the spice bazaar, disco fries and Caesar salad. Big shout out to Peter the bartender who was awesome and Yuri!

What an incredible gem. I was mesmerized by Wunderbar’s decor and warmth. The food was very delicious. The service was impeccable. The cocktails were one of the best I have ever had. The hosts are amazing people. I can’t wait to come back. Definitely recommend visiting!
