I finally had a chance to try Tasca del Tinto and it was well worth the wait. They have a limited menu but, after all, it is a tapas bar. The cod soup was good but the smoked ahi on bread was absolutely sublime. The waitress was a delight and the prices are reasonable. I'll be back.

The food is amazing the menu has great variety, but the service is the best part. Very attentive and engaging owner who makes sure guests feel comfortable. Great wine selection as well. This is one of the hidden treasures in Bellingham, don't miss it!

It was ok. We were the only ones in there. Not much of a drink selection. House made sangria was nothing special. Small menu. I've had better tapas before. The waitress was interesting, but tried really hard. Miguel, the owner, is rude and their business practices verge on unethical as evidenced by luring poor college kids in for 'free drinks' and providing customers a 'comped' appetizer only to show up on the final bill. I won't go back with all the options that Bellingham has to offer, along with the issues mentioned above.

The tapas were good but unfortunately the rest of the experience at the restaurant was not.
Service was extremely slow as there was one server and one person preparing food in the kitchen.
Five tables had customers.
A plate of tapas was placed on the table and we were told it was compliments of the house ( but then it showed up on our bill). We were charged for 2 glasses of wine but only had one (server said I thought I poured you 2 which he tried but it was kindly refused).
One of our tapas orders was the sampler plate. When it was placed on the table, we were asked if we wanted an order of bread to go with it. We said yes and it took 15 minutes to get to the table. There are too many places from which to go to return here again.

Came in on a slow Tuesday night for tapas with a friend. The sangria (made with apples!) was lovely, not too sweet. We shared the olives + almonds; tomato purée + bread paired with a soft cheese; and chorizo and asparagus. The flavor pairings were all just right. Wish I’d have come more hungry, so I’d have tried more! The owner Miguel served us, and he was kind and helpful. I’ll be back for another visit!

The food is the real thing, and it's quite good! Just wish it weren't quite so expensive. I'm sure it costs a lot to import ingredients, so I understand. Very friendly, attentive service. Tapas as a concept don't fit well in the US, where we like to eat A LOT. Perhaps if it felt less like a restaurant, and more like a bar with food, it would fit in better in the downtown scene. A few more drink options would be welcome. ¡Buena suerte!

A very personable experience, the owner was extremely friendly. Try the blood sausage and the goat cheese! A very different menu from the usual Bellingham venues, a light meal with exceptional wine and better imports than many places we visited in Spain.

Tasca del Tinto is one of my favorite restaurants in Bellingham. Dining there is a unique experience, and it offers authentic and delicious Iberian cuisine. I can't praise highly enough the quality of ingredients selected by the chef. Miguel is a warm and knowledgeable host, who I think is producing some of the finest and most authentic food in Bellingham.
