Best restaurant in beautiful downtown Grattan. Great onion rings. Guinness on tap. Can't beat the burger and beer special on Thursdays. Very good Mexican food too.

This is a hometown classic. What a great place to pull over from a long road trip and sit down and grab a beer. Mostly locals but newcomers are welcome. If you're looking for a great atmosphere come on down.

I’ve been here many times. It’s a pub… food was good, service was good. Not always a ton of people which is why I come here. I essentially come here to get drunk and have a good time. Mission accomplished! This is my choice when I’m out with the ol lady and she loves coming here too. Some people expect a 5 star cuisine in the reviews…. It’s laughable. It’s a small town pub. No blue haired hippies here for their avocado toast…. lol they can stay in down town Grand Rapids and be offended by everything.

There is a reason this place has been open since 1937... the food is absolutely AMAZING! This place has been rocking the food game for years- my absolute favorite place to go eat. I suggest the Grattan Pub Ruben or the Irish Burger if you love sourkruat. Their fried fish is also very well done and you get plenty of fish on your plate! Ever tried deep friend bread?? Well now you can, and let me tell you- it is delicious! Staff is always super friendly and this place feels like home. Might not look like much on the outside but the food is so good!

we had kim for severe best we have had in years courteous knew more than what the menu could tell us and since I'm on keto helped me find awesome ways to make things easier for me will be back many more times

Amanda was a delightful waitress, the food was very good, could have listened to the music all day, full menu at lunch, other patrons were very friendly.
Although we live pretty far away, we will be back.

Had the 8oz sizzler, food was great. Absolutely love the little loaves of bread. Service was awesome, they were packed and we got drinks right away, food followed shortly after. Waitress was phenomenal!

This small town pub offers great food and drink options. Their kitchen is open later than most with a full menu. That alone makes it popular with me! It has a nice cozy atmosphere. It has not been busy the few times I have been in. They serve shrimp for those with a shell fish allergy be aware they use the same vat for all their fried foods. Do not order fried if you have this allergy! They were very accommodating and let me substitute rice pilaf for the french fries.

Irish Pub not Irish Restaraunt. Had dinner there last night, It was there fish special night. We were seated and ordered 2 sandwiches,Reuben, I subbed o rings for fries, and and turkey something with fries. Both sandwiches were ok, nothing I would go out of my way for, Corned beef was tough and chewy. Fries were limp and almost cold. O rings were great. Service was slow unless you ordered the fish special, a couple came in 5 minutes after our order was in and they had their fish special 10 minutes before are ok sandwiches arrived.Tried it because of a groupon, won't be going back

Great food... great prices. I haven't been out to the Grattan for many of their band nights... We went for dueling pianos once and it was a fun group event. <br/><br/>I have been there several times for dinner... you can't beat the price for the value you receive. Big food... little prices. Try their 'Wing Dings', their sizzler, and you can't beat their burger, fries and beer special. <br/><br/>Make the trip.. you won't be disappointed.

Grattan Irish Pub. My friend dubbed this his "favorite double wide". But don't let the size fool ya. Their food is ROCKIN. My favorite is the buy one get one steak", which I believe is their Monday special (found out they get Michigan hormone free meat) and the owners family has a secret seasoning ...<br/>Also, their burgers are not without temptation! The kitchen has no problem making them the way I want them (medium with jalapenos and onion as well as ketchup, mustard, pickle), their fries are steak house quality....My husband likes the wings, which have most excellent crispy and tasty coating and are never frozen according to the owner and are GIANT. On top of all of that, they have live music 3 nights a week. We are even able to have our kids out to watch for at least the first set, which they LOVE. <br/>When we come in now, the servers and bartenders know our name and our favorite drinks. Very friendly staff...nice pours on drinks...awesome food...solid live entertainment line up...our new favorite haunt. Get there and try it out!

All time favorite in the greater GR area! Excellant bar food (right up there with the Cottage), more cheerful atmosphere. <br/>Prices are fare, but quality is high. Burgers Rock, good selection of choice steaks.<br/><br/>Curtious service (high on my list).<br/><br/>Good variety of pro live entertainment, even saw the dueling pianos there! Best food around!. Great food and music. The owner is very friendly. Very fun place to hang out with friends. They have the best ribeye I've ever had by far. My wife had the1/2 lb burger and fries and a drink for only $5! You cant even get that price and quality anywhere. Our server was very polite and fast. We will definitely eat there again! Can't wait to have the ribeye again....

Nothing Irish about it.. We had really high hopes when we got there. It was busy, so we thought the food must be good, but we were so wrong. First off, calling it an Irish Pub is completely false. They had absolutely no Irish food on the menu. The closest thing they had was a corned beef sandwich. Second, the beers on tap were Budweiser and Miller Lite. They didn't even have Guinness. As for the food we ordered, my son got the chicken tenders off of the kids' menu for 4.99, which consisted of 2 small chicken tenders that you could tell had come from frozen package and apple sauce. We had to ask our waitress twice for a spoon, so we were all done with our meals before he even got a spoon for the apple sauce. The service was slow and very inattentive. My meal and my husband's meal were also both mediocre at best. I got the cod, and he got the burger and french fry special. The fries tasted like they came frozen out of a bag, and the burger was dry. We will definitely not be returning.

Great Burger and Fish. I tried this place two years ago and dismissed it because it doesn't have a "Grand Rapids Worthy" beer selection. Perhaps that wasn't fair because not everyone requires ten different cutting-edge microbrews at every watering hole to meet their needs. Last night, I tried it with new eyes as an actual restaurant and really enjoyed it. The All American Cheeseburger was excellent and cooked with some pink, just how I requested it. So many places insist on cremating a burger to keep the burger police off their back, but this was right on. My wife had the cod, which was perfectly flakey. Real McDonald's quality French fries, too. I will be back soon to try their steak.
