Bridges is the only place to be in Bedford, the food is always served piping hot, beautifully presented and delicious. We love the cocktails and often go for a wine down Wednesday to grab a great deal! Keep up the great work, it’s a great place to be with your family and friends. We had the pleasure of attending Bridges Restaurant for their Halloween afternoon tea during the half-term week, and it was an absolute delight. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great choice for both adults and children. The adults ordered the Croque Monsieur and Reuben sandwiches, and they were simply top-notch. The flavours were outstanding, and the presentation was impeccable. The kids' plates were equally impressive and offered a variety that even the pickiest eaters would enjoy. Lots of thought appeared to be put into the kid's meal and offer for both presentation and variety. What truly stood out for us was the excellent value for money. Bridges Restaurant provided us with a fantastic dining experience without breaking the bank. We left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return for more. Highly recommend Bridges Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in a great atmosphere. This is the place to be for a wonderful meal with your loved ones.

Love going to Bridges, whether it’s for an afternoon coffee and mocktail with my children or for a few grown up cocktails with my friends. The place is very family friendly oriented which is wonderful when you have to entertain the children in the holidays. Bridges do a wonderful job coming up with different ideas and ways to spend an evening. I’ve been to a few different events from flower arrangements to quiz nights. Quiz nights is one of my favourites, we have a team of 6, made up of myself, husband and friends. Great way to spend a mid week evening, having a laugh and a guess to some questions. It’s better than sitting in front of the telly. Highly recommend.

This is truly one of the best cafes to visit in Bedford and I can’t recommend it enough. The service is always friendly, professional and caring and done with the utmost skill (one of the servers took no notes of my order and recited it to me off the top of their head). The brownie my partner and I had was simply divine. When we came in we were tired and low from a long day but the English breakfast tea, served in a cast iron pot, gave us energy and left us feeling warm and happy. This cafe, surprisingly, is open often until late, which is absolutely amazing for dinner dates. The atmosphere is really peaceful, the way the cafe is arranged is very satisfying and the general decor is eye pleasing to the utmost degree. If you are passing by, please do visit this place and you will not regret it whatsoever.

Unplanned lunch for 4 at Bridges, a busy cafe in the square with seating both inside and out. We were sat at a high table straight away by the helpful and plentiful staff. For an Espresso Bar it serves a good selection of food and “sshhh don’t tell everyone” ‘possibly the best Beef Burger in Bedford’. That’s a big boast I know but I have tried quite a few in and around Bedfordshire and this was superb with all the trimmings (Burger Sauce, Gherkins and a choice of cheeses. (See the pictures) The herby chips on the side were also excellent. Onion Rings a tad greasy but I will forgive this as the Lotus Biscoff milkshake was also spot on! The chicken wraps were really tasty although my wife says she would have liked a bit of Mayo/Ranch dressing or something like that inside the wrap as it was an all dry filling. Would recommend and return. Didn’t get to try the coffee… will do next time.
