The Flatbread Company

I love this pizza place. I never feel heavy and it’s delicious and amazing taste. My favorite is punctuated equilibrium or P.E. .. I also liked the community flatbread. Their Maine ginger beer is awesome. I have ordered many times for takeout as well as dine in. The ambiance is nice. Only thing missing would be few starters. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Simple salads, pizzas, drinks and desserts done well. They focus on healthy, local foods - our salad even had Maine seaweed on it - so while they might not have a dozen specialty pies, each one they do have is a winner. They even have vegetarian and vegan options. I appreciated that they go for sweetening with maple syrup over white sugar, as well. The wood burning pizza oven also gives their pies a great crust. A small list of beers and cocktails, but all decent options. Staff was also very accommodating to our special request to move tables out of direct sunlight.

The food was really good, they make the pizzas in the wood fire clay oven right in front of you. The menu is simple and short but the thin crust pizza is delicious. The ambiance was good too, it is a nice cozy place and there is plenty of space for a large party of people to dine in. The service was realtively fast. There is plenty of parking outside.

I continue on a quest for the best wood fired/brick oven pizza. Unfortunately this isn't it. I ordered a pie with pepperoni, chicken, Carmelized onions, and fire roasted red pepper. This should have produced tons of flavor but alas, except for the onions it wasn't there. The server was excellent, cornflour and helpful.
