Review Steak 'n Shake - Bedford

Have you tried the Butter Steakburger? It. Was. So. Good. I can't remember a burger ever tasting this good. I ordered it loaded and added sauté onions. The bun had a buttery seasoned mix of something on the bun that made it OH SO GOOD. The fries were hot and fresh. They have the kiosk ordering stations but they were very easy and you were able to order everything exactly like you wanted it. Steak-N-Shake also received a bonus point for serving Coke Zero.

Food and service were great. I would say the only downside was they gave the sakes 10 mins before the food.

The fries and shakes we ordered came out great. I am leaving three stars because the person working the drive through was incredibly rude. It wasn’t busy at all, I was one of three cars in line. The guy either hated his life, or just hated working at steak-n-shake. I understand how much it sucks working in food service, but don’t take it out on the customer who is actually being nice.

Frankly, not a fan of the new serving style--kiosks, serve myself eith drinks, even food. You'll do car hops, but not waitresses? Food was good, and milkshakes were phenomenal as always; the one waitress for the whole dining room was friendly, helpful at least. You used to be the one place where I could get a true glass, not Styrofoam. The charm has gone.

Great tasting food, as always. However, the cashiers are too quick "is that all? Is that all? Is that all?" After every item I placed on my order, everything I go. I would appreciate more time to order and not feel rushed. It's already rush hour and lunch break for everyone. I'm sure the staff feels the pressure during their peak times, and it shows. Small drink sizes varies everytime I go. Sometimes I get a medium sized cup and sometimes I get a Jr when I ask for a small. Other than that it has been an over all good experience eat wise.

It's usually pretty good but we've had some mess ups here lately. And fries are almost never hot anymore. You can tell they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Shakes are still awesome though

This place is just getting worse everyday! The change of the restaurant as a whole, was a bad idea. This place used to be packed and the drive thru line used to be long….not anymore. It’s really sad. I hate the self order stations inside as well as the new decor. It just feels plain and boring inside. As for the majority of the staff, they could use a lot more training, especially in their customer service skills. If it isn’t the person taking my order that’s rude, it’s the person giving me my food at the window that’s rude. Tonight when I picked up my order at the drive thru window, I was told my total, then given my card back, and food and drink, then the window slammed shut!!! Nothing, not even a thank you, or have a good night!!!! So rude! My food was at least fixed correctly, but there were no napkins and worst of all, no straw for my drink!!! Basic things people, come on now!! Steak n Shake had better get it together, because otherwise I just don’t see them staying open much longer!

Clean environment! Meat tasted different. Just not the same. Fries really really salty. So I couldn't enjoy my side of cheese due to the saltiness. Not a good experience today. 😕

Needs a lot of help!!! We walked in between 11 and 1130am. Plenty of parking, tables and no wait. But 6+ unbussed tables. Several staff acknowledged the four of us standing at the door. We were seated after 5-7 minutes. Overall a dirty experience. Grill appeared filthy at a glance as we were seated. Humidity was high and the floors were dangerously slippery. (Combination of outside moisture and slimy floor). We sat in a booth. The glass divider has been wiped with dirty damp cloths. You can clearly see the spots that were ignored. finger smudges the entire length of the black laminate of booth dividers along all 4 tables Waitress did a good job but appeared distracted by other work things other than customer service. Slow food delivery so I went to the bathroom. Sink looked horrendous. Overall this is not what a franchisee should expect of their investment dollar nor a customer of their dining dollar.

Our server wasn’t very good, after we got our food she didn’t even check up on us to see how our food was or even see if you needed any refills. I will make sure I won’t get her a server next time.

Wait ten minutes at the drive thru window and never get your entire order. When you try to call and complain, they don't even answer the phone. Won't go back for a while.

They definitely need to hire more help. Friendly waitress and very good food, once she got there.

Awesome food yesterday. The waitress was extremely nice. They make the very best Vanilla Coke.

The last dozen times I've went to eat there after 10 the service was horrible 20 minutes or more to be seated another 30 plus minutes just to get asked what I want to drink and then another 40 minutes to get food if I haven't left by then. Whole time I'm there no one checks to see if I need a refill or anything.

The worst chili dog I ever had. The service was good but the onion rings were worse than the dog. Do not get either.

I just wish my shake had been thicker. Seems like just a sugary glass of milk anytime I go there.

When you go in and the waitress rolls her eyes when you tell her how many people are in your party. BOOM!!! 1 star for you.

The price of the food was great. The food was alright. The service really sucked.

Brandy was awesome food was great! Will definitely go back to eat here!!!!
