Review Azul - Bedford

I'm not sure who did the painting above the register that's heavily blue and (I believe) includes Don Knotts, but I just want everyone to know that I'm resisting a strong urge to just go on and on and on about that painting in this review. If it goes missing...you know who to suspect. I've been here twice and will likely return again when I'm in Bedford next week for work. The best description so far is "fresh food" and "limited diversity." What that means is that the menu isn't overwhelming with options but what options are offered are rainbowriffic (I just made that up...you can use it). I've ordered a Thai bowl, salmon bowl, and pork tacos. For me, the portion size of the bowls is enough for 2-3 meals. With the salmon bowl today I ate and took home 2 take out containers that will turn into tacos at home. They serve margaritas and coconut water, the latter is a staple in my home that I find almost impossible to find served at restaurants so I was all like,"(insert jaw drop noise)." I lean heavily toward Thai and Mediterranean food. I also like quirky decor and outdoor seating so there's that. I think they did a lovely job of turning an old gas station into a restaurant that offers good food at an affordable price.

Delicious! I had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had a chicken burrito. Since this was our first time visiting this restaurant, we needed a little extra time with the menu. The employees were so patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Wonderful service, clean place, ample seating, and great margaritas! We will be back!

Tasty place! We stayed outside because of the dog. Big portions, neither of us finished. Quick service too ☺️

Food was pretty awful not sure if it was an off night or what. No guacamole, onions were raw, and white rice was dry. Really wanted to like the place but the best thing there was the soda

Very friendly staff, quick, fresh, very flavorful food with a great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating (bring your pet!), watch the small town traffic, then walk off the meal in the beautiful town of Bedford.

Thunder ridge overlook is one of most beautiful spots, if not the most, I've seen on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Delicious food with mouthwatering flavor, great service, and hip seating. Outdoor patio is perfect in the shade of old service station building they reclaimed.

The employees were super duper nice and the food was good.

We were visiting Bedford from Bend, Oregon and stopped into Azul's to grab a bite to eat. The service was fast, friendly, priced perfectly, and atmosphere was inviting and clean. I would highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner. I had the Thai burrito and it was yummy. You can also make a bowl instead of having in wrapped in a tortilla. And, the serve Deschutes Brewery beer!!!

I love coming to Azul! I found out about them by happy accident, but the food was so good and the service so great I've been coming back weekly for over a year. Every one is phenomenal, the food has such amazing flavor, and the outdoor eating space is nice too. I love bringing my dog to sit outside in nice weather. I recommend Azul to anyone going to Bedford for any reason. It's definitely a town highlight.

On our way from The Peaks of Otter to the D Day Memorial and stopped for a bite to eat. Glad we did! My daughter is Vegan, my wife is vegetarian and I try to eat enough meat for all 3 of us, lol, and they had something for everyone! Food was excellent and service was good! I hope the people of Bedford support this place and they can survive in such a small town. This place would Thrive in Richmond.

The food is awesome out of all the Mexican places around Bedford. I had the the blackened shrimp on beans and rice and it Melted my mouth definitely if you stop in Bedford give Chef Trey Parker some business and they are attentive to your needs

This place is amazing! I am vegetarian and they have a delicious and unique "Bombay" burrito with chick peas and curry. Plus they have sweet kids meals for my little guy. My hubby is addicted to the Korean BBQ burrito. Worth the trip from Lynchburg. Check them out!

One of my favorite places! I probably go once a week! Food is delicious and staff is so friendly. They are always creating new specials. I haven't had a bad meal there, yet!

I absolutely love going here! So glad Bedford has a little spot like this. Everytime I've been the food is great, the staff is friendly, and one night we were still eating and finishing our drinks outside when they were closing and the owner came out and told us they were locking up but we were more than welcome to stay and finish up. She even left us our own little trash can to use when we were done! So nice to find a restaurant with such great food and service in Bedford. Please stop by and support this business that is absolutely doing it right!

Just spent a week in Bedford and LOVED the wonderful food and service of Azul and Chef Michael.

Good burritos and the Korean BBQ is on point! The way they converted an old garage into a restaurant was brilliant!

Thoroughly enjoyed Azul! Fish tacos are one of the best in the area for sure...I will be back!
