Review Szechuan Star - Bedford

Just ordered delivery from them. The fried dumplings were completely squishy, not at all crunchy where they should have been. The dipping sauce that came with them tasted like pure vinegar. And my father got a staple in his food. I will never order from them again.

I ordered the entire family dinner from here, it was one of those nights where you just needed to order Chinese food and they had just put a flyer on our door. We ordered 7 meals. General Tso chicken was the worst I ever had. Orange Chicken had the weakest flavor ever. I was told the sesame chicken we ordered was "alright" but I didnt taste it. The delivery was fast and the delivery guy was great but the food was not.

I have not written one of these before but this food was so horrible that I felt I needed to. There was something wrong with the cashews in our cashew chicken to the point we couldn't eat them and it should have been called celery with some stuff. The wonton soup was so bad that even my daughter (who gets crazy excited about soups) refused to eat it and my father (who eats everything) thought it was awful. The chicken lo mein was just flat out inedible and I was not even aware it was possible to mess that up. Even the generic egg roll was simply not very good. We immediately threw this menu out.

Don't eat here. You will be mad. I didn't even want to give it one star, but I had to. This was the most disgusting Chinese food I've ever had in my life. I ordered two sesame chicken dinners. What I received was chicken nuggets in some bland brown sauce with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The fried rice that accompanied the entrees was nothing more that white rice and soy sauce-no egg, sprouts, or other veggies. The egg rolls were bland. The flyer I received offered 4 free crab rangoon with a $20 order. The establishment itself is very clearly an old KFC. Yu can still see Colonel Sanders all over the place. I tried to give the place a chance despite how horrific it looks inside. This is one instance when I should have judged the book by the cover.

Soup wasn't bad,,it was horrible. Fried chips a week old, egg roll two weeks old. Ordered szechuan chicken....very little chicken. Rice several days old...seriously! I pulled up to drive through and bushes covered the menu...told to drive forward. Had to ask for menu and that took two minutes to get it. Go to a corner store...you'll get better food there.

If I could rate this restaurant a -1 star I would. I've ordered from them online before, but my most recent experience was more than awful, it was sickening... literally. Within two to three hours of eating a rather small portion of what I ordered, I became violently ill. Anyone who has had food poisoning before can recognize the symptoms; I had food poisoning, and this was the only meal I'd had all day. When I called the next day to complain about the experience the staff was rude when I asked for the manager and hung up. I called back, someone finally answered and immediately hung up. I called back again, someone answered and I told them I needed to speak with the manager. She took my number. When I finally did speak with the manager, he was rude and insulting, saying his food was good. Eventually, I told him he could have the remainder of the food back (which was at least more than ¾ of what I order) and I wanted a refund. He continued to yell and talk over me. He told me to go to the doctor, said all I wanted was a free meal, that he was a good American and I should be as well. Health inspector definitely needs to investigate! Never again!! I hope this helps someone else!

Order Delivery. Brilliant! - I saw the bad reviews on here and wasn't sure.. but to be honest they had ordering online, so it was worth the Risk..lol The food order was perfect and we ask for a lot of requirements ( sauce on the side) Substitutes etc Everything turned up hot and the food is delicious. Best chinese food I have had in Texas

Really great food ever. I tried different dishes at there and everything was perfect. Orange chicken is recommanded. If you love spicy food you also may want to try Szechuan Combo or pepper beef. The most imporant thing is the reasonale price. They charge about 6 dollars for lunch special, a price even lower than fast food. Really good place to try Chinese food delivery.
