Wagamama Bedford

Well Wagamama what can I say, as always the food is top notch with a busy atmosphere and lovely restaurant overlooking the embankment. Only slipping point was service, trying to get the attention of staff to order deserts was almost impossible. They seemed to look away as soon as you tried to catch their eye! Disappointing!

The location is good the service was adequate and the food was as usual you pay a lot for not a lot. £150 for noodles and rice it's not cheap the starter were probably the highlight of the meal, there you go order the starters there then go to the pizza place around the corner if you want to eat and feel like you've eaten. Next time I'm going to try that. Also it's not really my thing a little too casual as I prefer a well dressed staff and a couple of them seemed to be wearing there going for a walk with the dog clothes. Not how I like to be served. I've eaten far better for less and not had to eat leftovers from the kids plate. Improvements could do with a Maitre d at the door to make sure no undesirables are let in. Part from that the staff were polite if not dressed according and if you're on a diet you'll be fine.

Really good place by the river and among other restaurants. Tasty dishes as usual and enjoyed every bit of it. Even though I am ok using chopsticks sometimes I need a spoon to get last bit of rice on the plate. Little disappointed that there were no cutlery on the table. Had Dough-chi cookie dough balls with ice cream centre for the first time. I had to eat this dessert using my hand. Is that how it meant to be eaten? Not sure the waiter didn’t give a dessert spoon anyway. So had to eat the ice cream balls dripping from my fingers. Give 5 stars even though a little disappointed with no cutlery.
