Great place to stop for a drink and a meal I was bike riding and stopped here for some drinks staff was very friendly with a smile felt very comfortable and welcome be definitely coming back

Booked a table for a breakfast meeting, the booking process was easy & stress free, upon arrival we were greeted by the waitress who seated us & took our drinks order which was served to us in a very efficient manner, breakfast orders were take , we both had the full English, which arrived in a timely manner & was piping hot , in summary the service was excellent & the food was first class, will definitely be returning, also have to mention the staff were super friendly & helpful.

Service was a little slow - to be expected on a busy Sunday - but found it hard to find something light on the menu and everything was a little expensive compared to our visits in the past. £6.75 for halloumi fries and ketchup for instance.

Had the pleasure of staying two nights at the Embankment. We could not have been happier with rooms, service and food. It was the perfect combination of English charm and comfort. The location was perfect and we had a short walk to an amazing park for my eight year old son to play. We looked forward to every drink and meal we were able to have at the pub. I would highly recommend staying here if you are with or without kids.

Visited in May for evening meal. The bar was quite full early evening. Restaurant was about half full. Our servers were Charlotte and Dan and they were both efficient and polite. The starters came out quickly followed by the main course after a short and acceptable break. We found the food to be perfectly cooked, with the steak in particular being, juicy and well seasoned. I will be returning again in a couple of weeks with a much larger group.

We celebrated my mums 50th birthday here last night and everything was amazing. From the welcome to Katie who looked after us brilliantly. She was fantastic and very helpful in dealing with my mums and sisters allergies and was attentive throughout our meal. I had the lamb cannon which was cooked to perfection and everyone else loved the meals they chose.Thanks Chef & the embankment team for a memorable evening!

A group of twenty work colleagues met here for pre drinks before moving on to our event. The bar is very comfortable with a nice atmosphere and a good choice of drinks. The staff were very cheerfully helpful too. Will definitely go back for a longer evening, including sampling something from what looked liked a really good food menu.
