China Star is somewhat of a hidden gem amongst local Chinese restaurants and I have to say post covid since they don't have a buffet now they've improved dramatically & great prices. Dollar for dollar it's the best around. I liked the buffet as well but it's my go to & I love Chinese restaurants. The staff very personable & they care about their customers satisfaction. 5 stars from me for sure. Anyone who likes Chinese food who hasn't tried China Star definitely should.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much but the food was just delicious!!! We had the sesame beef and Kung bo chicken and it was just so good!! Highly recommend

Absolutely the WORST Chinese food we have ever eaten. All the food was very overcooked and to dry to eat. Tea was from a can, mix was still in bottom of glasses. Pineapple shrimp was red and tasted like sweet n sour. Will Never Eat again.

The best people, caring, I'm homeless and the owner has fed me many times and would be only hot meal I had in days many times! Food, is amazing, fast and greeted with a beautiful smile!

This restaurant gave one of the worst experiences I've had at a buffet. There wasn't much of a variety, and the food they actually did have wasn't very good. The lack of service despite being one of the only two tables was confusing. At least I can say the facilities looked relatively clean and they let my friend replace her fried bun when she dropped it. For the $10 price, there are several better Chinese buffets in the greater Beckley area.

Absolutely delicious food. We love and continue to support China Star. I just wish portion sizes were more clearly written on Door Dash. We've ordered three different times and the first time we got about twice as much food as the second and third time for the same price. The first time, our go-plates were filled with the actual food-food we ordered. The second and third time, half of the dish was filled with rice. I just wish that it had been made more clear what I was getting for the price I was paying.
