Beaverton Tavern

This was our first visit to Beaverton Tavern and we definitely enjoyed it. An old building in Beautiful Downtown Beaverton, the interior is a very cool, old school tavern, complete with a metal ceiling. Nice. You can tell that over the years, they've gotten very good at taking advantage of every single space in the old building. The salad bar is jammed into a small space but it still has a good selection. The bathrooms are so small as to be comparable to an airplane, but they're clean and fully functional. While the small tables are set close together, there's still room to maneuver. The menu is more than just typical bar fare and they have a nice selection of pretty much everything from Mexican to seafood. And of course the nightly specials rock. The full bar provided every drink we requested and the friendly wait staff was very attentive. So, all things considered, we had good food, good service for a fair price. Yeah. It was a nice visit and we'll be back.

The place was not that busy, but our food (2 sandwiches and some onion rings) took over 20 mins to get. Once we got our food it was not very good, totally not worth the extended wait. Our order was not complicated, there were no substitutes, just straight up off the menu. The pizza and salad bar they offered... It looked like it had all been sitting there all day. The pizza looked old and dry. The atmosphere was cozy, and the waitress was super friendly, but disorganized, and I'm sorry, but slow. I will say we were super disappointed. We had heard good things about the Beaverton Tavern... Perhaps they were just having a bad day...

This is a great place to get a bite to eat. Their salad bar is small but the contents is fresh. On a special note. Their burritos are great. But don't let any fool you about their size. The mini feeds one. The small feeds 2-3. The large is a 7 pound burrito. I'll let you decide. I got 3 meals out of this big boy and I can eat. Their food has always been good here. The decor when you walk in is pine camp style tables and chairs. When they are busy you have wait a bit for your food. But that's ok. You can talk and enjoy a beverage. it is Worth the drive.
