It's been awhile since I came back here. We noticed they changed their happy hour menu and wanted to try it out. The place is popular and fills up fast. Some of the standout happy hour bar menu would be the steak sandwich, nachos, and the burger. We also had the meatballs, teriyaki beef, salmon bites, pretzel sticks and the clams & mussels.
It was OK. I feel like a young whipper snapper with all the cotton-tops in there. I didn't feel like it was awful or horridly overpriced but it wasn't striving to be great. Taste or otherwise.
This is a 3-Star review but it gets 4-Stars because we were there for my birthday and they tossed in some unexpected extras.
I hate to say anything good about this place because too many people have already discovered it. Please don't go there unless you just want something truly wonderful. The food is fabulous, the service is great and the view of the golf course is spectacular.
The food here was so amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the coconut shrimp app was so delicious. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
Went to happy hour in the bar from 5 to 6. It was crowded and a little noisy, with only a high table/chairs available for seating. It's a golf club, so there were 4 obligatory large TVs blathering PGA golf to add to the volume. I preferred the panoramic view window onto the actual golf course, where players were still active. We had a friendly, very competent waitress, and the drinks were good. At 6:00 p.m., the hostess came and got us for our reserved table for four in the restaurant.
Our new waitress, again, was friendly and very competent. My wife says her tenderloin was wonderful. My friend said his bouillabaisse was outstanding. My New York steak was PD good, but a little gristly. The accompanying mashed potatoes and green beans were tasty. All in all, a gratifying experience, but due as much to our guests as the food and drinks. It's a 4-star place on a scale of 5.
Excellent experience. The only minor issue was the lack of gluten free options. We didn't read the menu ahead of going, so that's partially on us. But note to the chef: the braised beef was delicious no one should miss out on it! You can swap soy sauce for tamari for a bigger umami flavor and it's gluten free!
Update: Liz & I had a good dinner last night: I had braised short ribs, liz had the tenerloins. Great food and good service.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly waitstaff. Good menu. Great little gem in the neighborhood. Originally was going to pass it up because where its located, glad we didn't. Good food, service was great. Cocktails were on par, GF and I had a good time.
