The food is good and fresh. I like to order the special of the night because you get something different. There are items for all budgets. You can order wings, burgers, or filet mignon.
The desserts are fantastic. Share with a friend though because the portions are huge.
The restaurant is cold so bring a sweater.
The service wasn't great. It's not the waitress' fault: they were under staffed.
Yesterday, we went out for new year eve's celebration and had to make reservations for that (they had an awesome group called Lisa Jay and the trio playing). Since the restaurant knew how many people would show up, they should have staffed the place properly. The manager could have come in to help the waitresses. Considering that the new year eve's specials were so pricy, I felt let down by the slow service and lack of attention from the staff. The manager never came to see if we were enjoying our meal.
I'm still going to go back because I like the food.

Let me preface this by saying, we have been to Oak Arbor Grille on several occasions since it's been under new management. On those occasions, the food was okay and the drinks, cold.
However, this was a special occasion, Mothers Day brunch, reservations required.
TO say they dropped the ball is an understatement. Upon entering the restaurant, no one was at the entrance to check reservations, let alone seat us. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated, which is not extreme by any stretch of the imagination, it's a statement to show the start of the rookie mistakes that should not have happened.
Next, we waited to be served drinks, again a long time, considering we had reservations. When the drinks came, I had Pepsi, it came in a cocktail glass because the restaurant had no clean glasses.
Next, onto the buffet area for food. The buffet was set up so strange, the patrons were winding in an out among the tables of those who were already seated and eating. No organization at all. The plates were another issue. When we got to where the plates should have been, there weren't any. We had to wait for clean plates to be brought out.
The food in the buffet line was another issue. Food that was not replenished. Some bacon was there, but sausages were not. NO eggs. No pancakes, no french toast, let alone other things they were out of.
A complete an utter disaster for a restaurant who had taken the reservations and should have been prepared.
Isn't it typical of a restaurant to have other trays of food in warming racks in the kitchen in preparation of replenishing the buffet?
As no food was left to replenish out came some chicken wings and drumsticks. WHAT?!?! Bar food at this point because they were so ill prepared?
AS I stood and waited for pancakes for more than 10 minutes, someone finally said, unfortunately, it's going to be a while, you can go have a seat and we'll bring them to you. Needless to say, when they attempted to bring me a couple of pancakes after another 10 minutes had passed, I turned them away. I had already eaten my cold bacon and sausage links.
Desert? Disastrous to say the least. Frozen Puff pastry balls and I mean, SERVED FROZEN, most likely Sarah Lee, and Mini Donuts from hostess bakery that were probably picked up in the local grocery store.
I would venture to say, after eating what I did eat, most of this was likely prepackaged frozen food, that was reheated, including the pancakes and french toast STRIPS that they ran out of. Yes, you read that right, french toast STRIPS, not whole pieces of bread. Again, more than likely frozen pre-packaged and then reheated.
This brunch was a total of just under $100 dollars with a tip, for 3 people. TO say the least, a complete waste of a hundred bucks and an embarrassment for my fiance and I, having taken her mother here for Mothers day brunch.
If you wonder why we left a tip, it's not the fault of the wait staff that the owners had not adequately prepared for the reservations. If I were waitstaff here, I'd be looking for another job elsewhere.
I cannot in good conscience, recommend this place to anybody. It was that bad of an experience.
I can also say, they have lost me as a customer, PERIOD. As the saying goes, Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me. It won't happen to me again.
Gordon Ramsey couldn't help this place!!!
Hopefully, my experience helps you not have to endure the embarrassment I did.

The reviews seemed promising, but was disappointed. The atmosphere was plain compared to what it used to be. We waited a bit for our server. We ordered the Lobster Pasta and Bacon Wrapped Sirloin. They ran out of lobster so substituted with shrimp. There was no flavor. The steak was supposed to be medium and came out rare. The saving grace was the pretzel appetizer - that was good. It was just a very underwhelming experience and wouldn't go back.

Oak Arbor is an awesome place to join with family, friends or just a nice romantic night out with the two of you! The menu is versatile and very affordable, and the food comes out like a five star restaurant! The service is amazing, the kitchen staff works together as a team, the owners are awesome! They're very good at accommodating large parties as well! Something you can't get everywhere. I highly recommend this place. If you haven't tried it, you should! You will truly fall in love with a beautiful view of the Beaver River, and the park on their back deck, so relaxing! We had a great time there last night with Tommy Bahama, as Thursday is there Caribbean night. They have specials every night. I give this place the food and their staff a 10 +

There for a wedding rehearsal dinner, so it was a buffet. The roast beef, especially, was to die for!! Amazing!! Even the broccoli trees were delicious! Just the right seasonings, whatever they were!! We were running a little late but that didn't seem to be a problem. Nice, personable wait staff. No complaints!! Great evening!!

It’s taken me almost two weeks to review because I want to maybe get a little perspective. I still feel the same.
We went around noon on a Sunday. Most of the outside tables were filled, maybe one or two tables inside were. I mention this because we had the most horrendous service I’ve ever experienced. Our waitress took FOREVER to bring things to us—from menus to drinks (water for us and chocolate milk for the kids), to ranch dressing and mayo. I’m talking 5-10 minutes between each stop by our table. She couldn’t multi-task and kept forgetting the simplest things (like silverware for us to eat with). It took 1 1/2 hours to get through what we thought would be a quick lunch. I give it 2 stars BC the food was good, albeit cold from waiting for above mentioned silverware. Two weeks after the experience and I doubt I’ll ever go back. I know good help is hard to find, but this was ridiculous and sad.

Food was very good, service was lacking. Had lemonade to drink, however the server brought back pop for my second drink and never came to check back on us to see how our meal was. I went the entire meal without a drink. Just asked us if we needed boxes and booted us out.
Portions are great, and I recommend to lobster bow tie pasta entree.
