The restaurant had good food and decent service but was missing everything needed for the place to move from 4 to 5 stars in my opinion. I waited at the entrance for 20 min because it was crowded. This is understandable but no one greeted the line that had formed or informed us of the wait. Servers had just a few to many tables keeping their attention thin. Prices were a little high to be getting food on paper plates.

Great food with options for the entire family. It was reasonably priced and had great service. Indoor seating was limited, but the shade and breeze provided a refreshing break from the sun and heat.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Hot day out here in North Carolina, got hungry. For something small ordered the fries that came with chili, onions, beans and more. My goodness I gotta say, that was probably the best fries that I had in a while. Especially the look of the water and having the food was just fantastic. It was definitely something I have to order again when coming over here.
Service was just fabulous. Such amazing kind staff who are there to help with anything you need, even things outside the restaurant. Sweethearts too.
Atmosphere was good. Mainly all the seats are outside, could be tough if it is hot outside which could make you feel a bit uncomfortable, it does however have an inside but could be tough to get a seat over there.
Overall this restaurant was just over the top great and something I definitely gotta come back too when visiting North Carolina.

Nice place to catch a bite. Outside seating only. Nice menu. Awesome waitress handling many customers. The food was good, but I would have liked the skin removed from my flounder filet sandwich.

Was not too busy. The food was good but not great. I had the pepper jack burger, which tasted like it was off the back of a US foods truck with no seasonings. Service was the best I have had yet in my stop here ( Thanks Savannah L).

Friendly staff, was seated immediately upon arrival. First time eating here, ordered the double meat cheese burger with fries and, this burger was perfect. Not overdone, flavor juices retained in the meat, the meat wasn't dry. Truly an amazing Hamburger. Haven't tried anything else on the menu but for this particular case the overall visit was stupendous. 10/10.

I have to start out saying, after reading some of the reviews others have posted I was surprised, because we had a great experience there.
Location was awesome, and sits right next to a little town square/park. We had live music on the night we dined there.
We sat next to several locals, who recommended the shrimp basket (huge, and delicious) to my lady, while I got the best tuna steak I've had in my life, which was prepared PERFECTLY. We also had a couple beverages each and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Our waitress, who also happened to be the bartender taking care of a full house inside, gave us enough attention and followed up on everything we needed. They're still short staffed following Covid shutdown, so maybe if you feel like you're pressured for time, you're vacationing in the wrong spot or your ideas of a relaxing and fun evening are far different than mine.
Bottom line - I absolutely WILL go back, and highly recommend the Dock House.

Apparently they just reopened after being closed for 2 years so that hopefully explains the whorable food. The steak was good...and should be for over $60. The 2 burgers ordered at medium rare were done like sawdust with no flavor. 2 drinks ordered were mixed so bad we had them replaced...the new ones were just as bad. Expected more after a $180 bill (before tip). That being said we will still give it another try after they get the bugs worked out after reopening because it has absolutely has the best river view seating in Stillwater. Mary, out waitress did a great job so we didn't complain.
