My first visit and food was very good as well as friendly and prompt service. Loud banging from next door on the wall was a bit annoying but overall nice experience. I will be back.
Love the food and the huge portions. My kids love the mandu and pork belly.
Best kimchi fried rice I ever had! The noodles and fried chicken were great too!!

We were visiting from Atlanta where everyone always assumes the best Korean food can be found, but I politely disagree. Northern Boulevard, with all its humble storefronts where some of the best and tastiest hidden treasures can be found. I thought I knew where the best jjajangmyun, or black bean noodles, could be found, but in the time I've lived outside of New York, this noodle house has apparently and recently gained the reputation of the best jjajangmyun in town.
There are tons of combination platters in case you're craving a variety of the most popular plates (with cleverly sectioned off bowls that keep the two entrees separate), but I went straight for my tried and true order of black bean noodles and especially appreciated that there was a vegetarian variety for non-meat eaters like me. I've never seen whole broccoli florets in my black bean sauce but I appreciated the healthful touch. Plus everyone else at the table who ordered the regular kind seemed to be gazing enviously at my verdant pops of veg.
The noodles are fresh, with just the slightest toothsome quality, and the sauce was just as delicious as my parents promised it'd be. We also ordered some of the spicy battered shrimp, which ended up being a little softer than I'd like, but when a dish is so saucy, it's hard to maintain a crunchy batter.
This was our very first meal after our plane touched down in New York, and it'll likely be where I have every first meal henceforth when I visit.
A very busy family-style place, and that’s a good thing! Does take a while for the food to come out, but the portions are huge and the quality is good.
This was my first time having Korean noodles with black bean sauce and it was pretty decent. Imagine lomein noodles covered in a french onion soup beef gravy.
The fried stuff is tempura style which is nice, though the “garlic” sauce on my fried chicken didn’t taste like garlic at all, rather sweet and sour sauce which was unexpected.
Overall the service was friendly and I like the vibe of this place. I’ll be returning to try some of the other menu items.
Ever since 중국집 hasn't been the greatest, this is my go-to jjajangmyun place. The portions are really big, and the staff is very friendly. We ordered jjajangmyun and tangsooyook. Tangsooyook was one of the best I've ever had. We had japchae bap to go, and it was not bad. I'd recommend getting tangsooyook for sure.
Food was great, service was great. The noodle just needs to be a little bit saltier for me. Portions were amazing, almost couldn’t finish it.
Had a lunch on12/26/2020. Of course seated outside and yes it's freezing as Antarctica. Food was actually great until it cooled down eventually unable to chew. I recommend you to take home the food, please don't take the risk I took.
Loved the tteokbokki and jajangmyeon!
They are awesome!!!! Great food, a lot of selections, very authentic flavors, very helpful workers. Will come back for more
this is a legit korean restaurant perfect to stop by for a good hearty lunch! the prices were hard to beat, the staff was quick & efficient, and the portions were huge.
Best Korean-Chinese style restaurant in Bayside so far... lol
Don’t go when you’re really hungry.
My all friends said the portion is not enough.
Men should order double, called Gopbaegi.
Do not accept Discovery.. :( (not sure Amex)
Servers are not bad but not good either because they are all older than other Korean restaurants.
I like that the owner hire not younger people. I feel like EEOC there.
