My favorite place to frequent throughout the week! They have the very best catfish in Baton Rouge!!!!!!! and a great price to go along with it :) The only thing I'd say is wrong with the place... you never know if they are going to be open or not :/ I've attempted several time during the day and they've been closed :( with the hours on the door saying they are open.... Great food when they're there :D
Fast food at it's finest in a good way!. You get a lot of bang for your buck...except the burger. The burger is seasoned really well but somewhat small. Basically, the burger makes up in taste for what it lacks in size. If you go seafood, you get tons of food for the price. Fries and fried pickles are pretty tasty as well. Good value, solid food.
Great food!. Stopped in going through town. Tried the burgers and shrimp po - boy both were delicious. owner is very friendly - great service.
Generous Servings. Their Catfish Platter is gigantic. I'm used to 3 maybe 4 pieces of medium catfish, and fries with my platter. I was pleasantly surprised by how many, and by the size of the fillets themselves. I had to make 2 meals out of it. I always drove by this place because it's not in a convenient location, but take the chance and you'll be satisfied.
This is one of our favorite places to go! My boyfriend and I go probably once a week because the menu is so diverse. The fried seafood platters are so filling and the poboys, grilled and fried, are phenomenal. This place is definitely worth stopping by. You can spend $6 on a cold cut sandwich at a sub shop, or spend $6 on a grilled shrimp poboy here.
George. I've been there for a while and love everything I've tried there. Their spicy sea food poboy are the best in Baton Rouge area.The boneless chicken kabob was really tasty. I would recommended it to food lovers who like to enjoy freshly made spicy food
The poboys and plates are always HUGE. 2 can eat off of most of the seafood plates. 2 of my fav poboys are the LA grill and philly cheese steak poboys. as for seafood plates, I like the red fish & shrimp combo plate or the catfish platter. They also serve fried green tomatoes that are very tasty!
BIG portions ( yasssss) and made to order . The Owner/ gentleman was soooo nice and helpful with suggestions ( we are from out of town). He was so gracious, patient and giving with the food . Did NOT disappoint. Drive thru only but it didn’t bother us any. Give this local restaurant some well deserved attention. Now for the pictures : Fried flounder and fried shrimp plate to the left ( omg 😱) and my husband’s double cheeseburger meal. We love the seasoning ,had a little kick ,on both plates ! BOTH plates are the BOMB 💣! Can’t go wrong with either. High five to this establishment!
I just ate the best burger I have ever had! I am so glad we found this place! My wife and I will definitely come back here! I am a big eater and did not take it seriously when I was told I might not be able to finish the double burger. If I had finished the seasoned fries first, I would not had been able to polish off the burger. I’ll just have to eat the rest of these yummy fries later. Wow!
Sherwood Poboy is very underrated! The food is so good here. Everything I order SLAPS! I prefer to dine in, but due to the pandemic they're only doing drive thru currently.
It's a family run business. The owner is such a nice guy, and knows what a burger should be like. Really what good food should be like in general. They don't have much advertising, so please spread the word. But the food really speaks for itself.
Please be patient! They cook the food to order, and make sure the order is correct before going out. Also, come with an appetite. Especially if you order the double burgers, or Philly cheese-steak. Cause the portions are huge.
Just like any delicious meal, things can get messy. The protein is so tender and juicy, along with fresh ingredients. You're not gonna find some food left under a heat lamp, all dry, and ready just to be pushed out the door. They take pride in their food and it shows.
Food is good! I had to edit my stars because I was completely wrong about the pricing. They are priced reasonably when you compare it to what you are getting for your money (homemade, fresh, and good portions).
The owner is so nice with a great customer service. I love the food and will definitely keep going back.
Great burgers. Handmade and huge. This isn't fast food. He makes everything when you order it. Philly cheese steaks were good, too. Love finding little local places like this. 😊
