Good food - large portions. The lasagna is big enough for 2 people. And the kids portions are big enough for bigger kids. Didn't try the pizza, but plan to next time. They aren't busy at night at all, so easy in and out. They said they have a big lunch crowd. I'll go back!
I been a regular there for over 6 years. Food is consistently good, salads are fresh and service is really good. Love their breadsticks and honey mustard dressing. Good calzones but not better than mellow mushrooms. I would love to see that patio area been utilized.
Everyone needs to give this restaurant a try! It will definitely be worth it! The calzones and pizza is some of the best I've ever had and the perfectly toasted wraps are to die for. I was very happy with the service too. I recommend this place 100%!

We enjoyed it. We were visiting Baton Rouge for the night. We have two small children that were requesting pizza for supper. So, we pulled up urbanspoon and found this place. We have one child with a peanut allergy, so we have to choose our restaurants carefully. We arrived here about 7:00 pm on a Friday. Upon entering, there was one one table with people. I spoke with two servers about our peanut allergy. They were very nice and very helpful. They immediately went to the manager who was cooking. He checked the ingredients on everything we could think of that would be on the pizza she would eat. The place looked nice on the inside. Our server even came back and informed us of another ingredient we had not considered. He was very concerned, even after we were eating that she was ok. This was important to us that they were concerned and helpful. Our food was good. I had the Alfredo chicken pizza with grilled onions. We also had the Italian combination (meat lovers) and hamburger. They do have a kids menu. They serve appetizers, salads, oven toasted sandwiches and wraps, pastas, calzones and more. We enjoyed our pizzas. They were not the best we have ever had, but they were good. We would go here again.

Great Food, Great Service. This was our first visit to The Original Italian Pie and I have to admit my boyfriend and I were blown away by the food. We started with an appetizer, Italian baked wings, and WOW, they were amazing!!! For our main course we chose the Italian Pie Combination (large). Again, we were amazed. It was probably the best pizza we have had to date. I can't wait for our visit back to Louisiana, we will defintely come back here in our travels.
Solid restaurant for pizza and calzones. I am originally from Ohio where they have a countless supply of great pizza places. I have to say that The Italian Pie is a solid place to eat pizza and calzones.

I have eaten here many times for lunch and always enjoyed the very fresh Mediterranean salad with delicious tomato basil dressing and the whole wheat crust pizza. It makes a perfect lunch. There are many other good choices: Eggplant sandwich, veggie sandwich, chicken. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.
I love Italian Pie! I have been coming here since I was a kid and couldn't see over the counter. Staff is always friendly and the food is always amazing. The staff knows my order, so when I walk in, they bring me my drinks and my food is already being made to put in the oven. They are more busy during lunch than they are at dinner, so don't let the emptiness send you the wrong message, Italian Pie is delicious!
Love eating here, the pasta an Calzones are made to order. My favorite is Seafood Ravioli pasta w/ garlic bread. The service is excellent and the servers are attentive.
Great taste, quality and quantity and friendly service for your buck. Definitely beats eating a sub from somewhere.
