Very good!. The salmon skin and Hawaii rolls were my favorite! Also Joes roll was good if you like spicy!! I would go back. We were the only people in there though, I think its just tucked away to where many people can't see it. That's why its not to busy. But nice people and good sushi.

The service is fine but the sushi is AMAZING. It's delicious and the plates are visually appetizing too. I would definitely recommend Sushi Village. I'll be returning :)

We've Become A Regular. This restaurant recently opened and I decided to give it a try. I was a little put off by the fact that there were no Hibachi Grills for a visible show. When I saw how reasonably the food was priced I thought... Who needs a show with these great prices!! LOL

The food is prepared with car and is well seasoned. I go to eat lunch at least once a week and have taken clients there. We've only eaten hibachi and teriyaki and can't attest to the sushi quality but if it is anything like what we've tried, you won't be disappointed. It is quiet, great tasting food and value priced. Give it a try!

Don't judge this place by its looks. The strip mall setting is unappealing, the lighting is inconsistent, the music was set to Taylor Swift and Kesha, and the walls had Italian-style wine pictures hanging in thin frames. The menu is low-priced, and offers hibachi with no hibachi tables in view. All in all, Sushi Village gives a terrible first impression. But any sushi place with an Engrish menu and all-Asian staff has promise, so we gave it a chance.

We started with Gyoza dumplings. Interestingly, they are filled with shrimp instead of pork, and their shumai have crab instead of shrimp. The Gyoza had a good flavorful filling, and the shell was pan-fried and had a nice crisp crust to it.

We also had a snow crab naruto (ordered off-menu). It was not served with a sauce typical of the dish, but it didn't need it because the snow crab was quite flavorful.

But the highlights of the dinner were the April roll (roll of the month, but they spelled it Apirl; basically a RockNRoll topped with steak) and the Fire Dragon roll (tempura shrimp and avacado inside, salmon and crabstick on top). The eel sauce has a little spicy kick to it, which set off the flavor of the rolls perfectly. In addition, the Fire Dragon roll was artistically presented, as you can see in the picture attached.

The one disappointment was the fried ice cream dessert. It was all batter and no ice cream. But at $3.50, I didn't feel much buyer's remorse.

EDIT: Oh, and the service was great. Attentive and friendly.

Sushi Village may not compete with Itchiban or Tsunami in style, but it has it where it counts and at a great price. Go here!

So Fresh and perfectly prepared.. I met the owner and he is still working some kinks out. The decor has something to be desired but his staff is top notch and his prices and quality of sushi could be rivaled with anyone in town period. Ask what is fresh.

The tuna I had were large pieces caught yesterday and it shows in taste and texture. Not some previously frozen pieces you might get from other places in town.

The rice was perfectly cooked and I have never seen someone who can prepare the rolls so quickly to perfection.

I have eaten at many "high end" places from Houston to Orlando at two to three times the cost for this caliber of sushi.

The menu could be expanded upon with more specialty rolls and descriptions but that is part of the growing process.

Even if you get it to "go" you won't be disappointed.

Great sushi. I drove past this restaurant for a month, thinking each time "I have got to give this place a try". I did that today and am regretting the 30 days that I wasted. The storefront location is deceptively off-puttting, but once inside, it was clear that I was in the right place. Each menu item we ordered was more delightful than the one before. The edamame was perfectly steamed (not as easy as it sounds). The spicy seafood soup was flavorful and contained several fresh, full-sized specimens of shrimp and scallops. The seaweed salad was unlike the usual preparation, instead containing pieces of crab as well as shreds of cucumber and ginger along with the expected nutty strands of seaweed. It's hard to go wrong with a salmon skin roll, but these guys get it more right than most. The salmon skin is perfectly crunchy, but still contains a thin layer of meat which adds a nice dimension to a standard. The maguro sushi was as fresh as any we've ever had. A last-minute snow crab roll maintained the standard we have already begun to expect.

This is destined to become a regular destination for us. I would love to see the wine list expand to more interesting proportions, but the few glasses offered are reasonably priced and recently opened (once again, not as easy to find as one might expect).

Nice, cool, and comfortable inside. Very friendly staff. Delicious and quality sushi. Fair prices for most things it seems.

Pretty decent food and a nice presentation of the sushi dishes, however service was a bit slow. Overall, nice experience though would recommend for a slightly above average sushi place.

Best thing here is the fish katsu, a little pricey but the portions are huge. Although it was great, it comes with a choice of soup or salad, I opted for salad which was a really sad sad choice. It was literally pieces of lettuce. Torn lettuce thrown in a small container. No tomatoes, croutons, no cheese...I mean salad is more than just lettuce is all I'm saying otherwise say side of "soup or lettuce". Their stir fry vegetables are 10/10 in terms of cook and seasoning. It's always something we order here. We usually order to go because we don't like dining in but imo this isn't the place to dine in...let's just say look wise they get 2/10. Calamari is overpriced and tasted like it came from a frozen bag, it was baked in the oven and then served. The dipping sauce tho was 10/10. I still go back cause they have some of the best fried rice. And I will spend $15 for that fish katsu again...like I said it was worth it. But avoid the side salad option and go for the miso...and calamari $6 is not worth that.

Sushi was solid, every roll we got was well priced and well made. Will definitely be a repeat customer. (Update: a year later this place is still delicious)

Sushi Village is a quaint restaurant. Although music is non existent and there is not much color, the Feng shui is awesome. It's set for families to come in and be a part of their family's dining experience. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant and the food is great. Each roll was beautifully presented and needed no additional flavors. The hibachi steak add shrimp was dig-in delicious. The dragon roll was shaped like a dragon and the flavor was phenomenal. The owner asked us our favorite roll out of the 5 or 6 we ordered and although the Hawaii roll was refreshing, that LSU roll was divine....gonna definitely go back and try that Mardi Gras roll. You can tell that this spot is family-oriented, I love the fact that they incorporate each other in making the dream work. Next time I'll do dessert cause I was honestly stuffed to say my fiance was calling himself taking all his favorite women (me and our daughters) for a snack. I was good from noon till night. Don't go in there thinking sushi light and play play....you won't be disappointed. I've seen people give it a low eating for low ambience but in truth all restaurants aren't made equal and some don't need anything else but you and the family to come eat and enjoy, this place is one. Sit down and take a load off, pull up a chair and take out a menu. And don't disrespect the owners asking for seasoning, they cooked it how you like it, and if they didn't, they did. ~ Nephilim God

Great place for take out budget sushi! Staff is friendly and family-run! I know it sounds out of the norm, but definitely order a chicken teriyaki roll, you won't regret it.
