Izzo's Illegal Burrito

In my observations the food is often cold, and the burritos have very little flavor. In my opinion their meat and other burrito toppings have a flavorless and rubbery texture. Overall it was not a good dinning experience in my opinion and I could not recommend this restaurant to a friend as the food had a very bland taste. I was also very disappointed in the preparation of the food. The wrapping looks good,to but it seems to me that there is no substance to the flavor and preparation of the food beneath. They have color oordinated flavored tortillas, but these tasted very bland as well and only served to color the burritos. Perhaps training and actual cooking skills for their crew would be a good start because to say it seemed lackluster would be too generous in my opinion.

I was there asking if i can get burrito in bowl but tortilla as a side. The guy told me we cannot do this unless you select super burrito which will have larger price and larger portions. Then I said okay do that for me. However, not only I got less of everything in the bowl, he told me that we cannot do this way in the future because its against our law or smth like that! How the heck is it possible that I get just tortilla separately with the same amount that everything supoosed to be when i get burrito and is against the rules or law or whatever???? Seems I need to choose to go Chipotle next tome coz they dont matter about issues like this! If you can get everything combined you should be able to get them separately as well!

Izzo's is probably my favorite food place in Baton Rouge. I get a burrito with cayenne tortilla, few onions, corn, guacomole, some cheese, red onions, cilantro, and lime juice the most. Note that certain toppings can make for a more bland burrito (example: lettuce diminishes the flavor in my view so I rarely get lettuce). Have been a customer for around 10 years.
