Fred's Fish House

Paid $65 for two steaks get them home were so tough couldn’t even cut them full of fat was not worth eating. Would not recommend steak from this place at all. Got hold of Brandon owners son an all he had to say was rude didn’t care at all and said sorry you didn’t enjoy them. I buy a lot of fish from there but after being treated this way my business will be taken elsewhere

Everything I ordered tonight was so good! I had to make myself not fill up on hushpuppies and beans before my meal came out. Usually, I don't touch the beans, coleslaw, and pickled tomatoes they bring out before your meal, but I couldn't resist. It was all good. The fish was fried crispy, just the way I like it. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Batesville.

I've always loved Fred's fish. People would say they didn't cause the fish tasted like mud. Well today I experienced that very thing for the first time in 20+ years of eating here. I can see why people wouldn't go back with that foul mud taste. The fish didn't even look like their normal. On top of that over half the time we was there an employee in the back was very upset that she had to work all day because someone called in. She wasn't quiet about it for sure. Everything else was Great as usual. They just gotta figure out what's going on with the cooks and possibly their fish supplier cause both was not putting out any good fish today. I don't like causing a fuss so I didn't say anything but I shouldn't have paid 16$ for my meal today. I could have went to coltons and got a steak and been much more satisfying.
