Went there for dinner, the owner/cook/server is one of the nicest people!! The food was delicious, fresh, service was great. 5 stars for him. Support this guy he and his restaurant is absolutely 💯 worth the trip.

Delicious food, friendly staff, hearty menu, wonderful atmosphere.
I enjoyed the Oaxaca style enchiladas and my date enjoyed the Oaxaca style steak. The sauces are fresh and delicious and the portions are a large size. Bonus points for the hospitality and good service.

The food was delicious, great service and the patio in the back is great. We will definitely come back! We highly recommend the pastor tacos, mild salsa and guacamole!

Had a large catering order that was fantastic. Everything was delicious and the order was ready on time. The women we dealt with was so professional, generous, and kind. You can tell La Mesa really cares about the quality of their food and it shows. I would recommend La Mesa to everyone.

This place is small, you seat yourself, and sometimes the service is slow when busy. But hey, I'm not dining out to rush; that's such an American way of life. The daily food specials and Margarita here are great! And the price, it''s on the lower end. I think their Margarita is what keeps the regulars coming back. It's the reason I keep coming back; it's addicting. Excellent food, excellent Margarita!

I was happy to discover La Mesa recently and have been back multiple times in quick succession. Each time, we've had a great experience.
The food is delicious. It's hole-in-the-wall comfort Mexican food, and does that very well. The meats have all been outstanding, and there are great touches like *actually* hand-made corn tortillas. Chips and salsa are just okay, but I'm there for the entrees. I haven't gotten to the drinks yet, but they have some excellent drink specials.
The prices are quite low ($7-10 for a meal, $35 with guac, tax and tip to feed 3). Service has always been excellent and very friendly.
