Cafe Primo

We walked here from our BnB for a very casual, grab a pie kind of dinner. The dining room was full, but we got a table outside. Some would take off a star because the waitresses were busy, but I'm not. We got a margherita pizza and Pinot. The pizza crust was perfect, crispy outside, soft/chewy inside. Sauce had great flavor. Very authentic! I would definitely get another pizza here the next time I'm in town.

If you're looking for authentic food and a out of this world dining experience, look no further... Café Primo constantly delievers on amazing customer service as well as outstanding food. If you have a seat-belt, buckle up because your taste buds about to be hit with nothing but flavor. This THE place for pizza and pasta...and if you're lucky enough to get your hands on this pizza (Primo Primo) but with the focaccia dough...wow! The dough was light, perfect amount of sauce, and with their special touch of love, spice and everything nice, this pizza will absolutely rock your world. If you don't stop in, you're missing out, if you do stop in, let them know you read this review and I promise you won't be let down.

I am a big pizza connoisseur of all kinds. This Neapolitan style pizza restaurant hit the spot. Crust is just as it should be, sauce is sweet yet flavorful, and cheese is spot on. We had the Margherita style and the Primo pizza without mushrooms or spinach (meat pie). Both were A +. Haven’t tried other pizza places in Bardstown, but I did my research and this one rises to the top. Bested my expectations. Well done, Cafe Primo!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Waited over an hour to get a pizza and when it arrived it was half cooked. Could hear the owner or manager screaming at employees through the walls on the outside patio. Told the server my pizza was half cooked and I could hear the lady screaming at the sever. Was still charged full price for a doughy raw pizza. Awful experience on the bourbon trail. Terrible experience on what was a great trip. Save yourself and choose any other place in Bardstown but this one!!

I gave one star for the great aroma, but took away the other four for this reason: Ordered a glass of wine, the tomato Buffalo ensalata, and a bread stick, all of which were on the menu. I was told that I would have to buy ‘the whole loaf’ of the bread because they no longer sold the bread sticks. There is no way I would eat all that bread. It was .50 versus 3.50… nope. I left:( I had driven round trip of 30 miles, and just left Cafe Primo still hungry.
