We wanted burgers on our way home but not mcds and we found Maria's Lonestar just outside of Bangor heading back towards kzoo. Inside was alot of seating a nice bar and some pool tables. Very nice customer service and an overall great experience!
Awesome gem of a bar/restaurant. Absolutely no frills... Just good proprietors with awesome home cooked Polish fare.
My wife had one of the specials:
Cabbage rolls (2) with gravy & mashed potatoes , she lloved it, so I had to sample, just like my grandmothers.
Now for me a little simpler.
Polish sausage sandwich on a sub bun
With sauerkraut & cheese. Very good sausage sandwich. Next try Thursday's with Maria's homade sauerkraut,- with polish sausage, & mashed potatoes.
Great Polish food, also best BLT and olive burgers. Great menu choices and very affordable. Great place for a beer and polish sausage.
Good place to grab a beer and play some pool. Maria is a kind person and makes everyone feel welcomed. Make sure to try the pierogis when you go!

Excellent home made polish food. Easily worth the 20 minute drive from work
Good portions and prices. Easy to find on the north side of M-43 just east of downtown Bangor.
Love this woman a straight shooter and her food is amazingly great. Well worth the little drive.
Maria is a very friendly and knowledgeable lady. Serves good drinks too
