The Great Food Experience. This place has the best food i've ever tasted... I would literally go broke as long as I work down the street from there :)
The chicken here is always outstanding. I usually get the chicken breast dinner with macaroni and cole slaw, but their greens are fantastic also (this coming from a girl who absolutely does not like greens). If you're able, call ahead for the quickest service, bring your cash, and keep in mind that they're busy so they might come off as a little brash. If you catch them in a lull, though, they're actually really nice!
I had a white meat dinner...Chicken was so moist and flavorful. My side of greens and mac & cheese were good too. Cornbread didn't taste like it was made from scratch but it was good. Oh and FYI..it's CASH ONLY.
Amazing Carryout. Nick's Sub Shop is also known as "Nick's Famous Rotisserie" (according to one of the managers/owners) and just "Nick's Rotisserie" by the window sign. Nevermind the name.. or the creepy atmosphere from the outside.
Nick's has something amazing going with their chicken. Their rub is unique and delicious: surprisingly but not too sweet, and a black pepper spiciness. Their greens, mac 'n cheese, and yams are all also worth the trip. However, the cornbread seems to be store-bought, so don't bother. I haven't tried the subs yet.... I'm hooked on their chicken.
If you're local, call before walking in. A few times I ordered chicken and mac and I was told "20 minutes til it's ready." I can see how that would frustrate most people, but I take it as a sign of freshness and it's absolutely worth the hassle.
Lunch was delicious! The candied yams were incredible, and everything was hot and delicious. Just be prepared to wait for your order- it took 20 minutes for this order. But it's worth the wait because of how delicious this is. Seriously hit the spot for me today!
The rotisserie chicken was good, tender juicy and flavorful, but the piece was small for the price in my opinion (I got quarter dinner) maybe it’s inflation idk. The sides were just okay. Mac n cheese a tad bland almost taste/texture like box mac cheese but a little better. Yams were good but overpowered with nutmeg or something. I would go back for the meat only. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in under 10minutes. Quality meal for fast and friendly service. Did what it needed to do. I’m in no rush to go back but it wasn’t horrible.
Food is always delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. Usually very busy. Chicken and side dishes are seasoned really well. Once I noticed that I did not receive a side order. Called store and was told to come by. Didn’t return for weeks and they remembered. Gave an extra side with my order. Hefty portions, too. Love Nick’s, especially on Sundays! ❤️
Visiting from out of town we came across Nick's quite accidentally... and we were very glad. Serious soul food. Fantastic chicken, some of the best greens I've had in a long time, and wonderful mac 'n cheese and sweet potatoes. We gobbled it up!
One of the best restaurants in this neighborhood. Staff is friendly and professional. Food is always excellent. Recommend to anyone looking for good eating experience.

I Wanted Ribs I was told they Would be ready in 30 minutes I said I be back. Still checkout the old neighborhood a Ethiopian restaurant I went in made an order check back with Nick I was told stove not working properly and she Iike my Ribs Tender they Ask for my number I gave it I already had Ethiopian food I left came Home Forgot about Nicks calling Now home (about 20 minutes away )
