First, I'd like to recognize Joshua as not only an outstanding bartender but also just a warm, kind human being. He really made our experience at Blackwall Hitch delightful! Now, the food! As it was our last meal in town, and bc I no longer live with the convenience of catching my own crab, we had both the cream of crab soup and the crab dip. The freshness and attention to detail were top notch! Sherry in a cream of crab soup is ESSENTIAL and they do not miss the essential. We started with cocktails; an espresso martini and bloody mary, both superbly crafted. I had the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, gravy, and roasted parsnips on this cold winter day. It warmed me up thoroughly before my walk arond the Inner Harbor. My gf had the signature burger and couldn't say enough good things about it.

Had our staff dinner here on a Wednesday night and it was an overall great experience. I definitely want to come back to Blackwall to try other things off the menu. Environment A really nice open space with plenty of dining space, a full bar and space for private events such as the group that I was with got to experience. I love the industrial decor and the black and white vibes. Service We had one server that was serving a group of about 15 plus and she did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed. She was amazing. No long waits for drinks or food. Loved it. Food and Drinks The crab dip was great. Loved it and wanted more. We had a pre fixed meal plan so I wasn't able to dig into all the things I wanted. I settled for the chicken dish that was really flavorful, tasty and plentiful. We also had sides of mash potatoes and green beans that were really good as well. I also got to try the Chesapeake Alfredo that made me wish that I had got that as my order. It was really good so I will add that to my list for next time. I will definitely come back for more. The drinks were also really good and very strong. All must haves for me. Overall Overall had a great experience here. Loved the food and the environment. The service was great. Will definitely come back here while visiting Baltimore.

The food was incredible. The server may have been new. He was polite but could not answer basic menu questions, including prices or catch of the day. When we asked him what the catch of the day was, he didn't know, but he said he would find out. When he resurfaced 30 minutes later, he "forgot to ask." Great atmosphere, but service needs to be better.

Great location and setting by the water. The Smokey old fashioned was great. The food was good and the local crab cakes were bigger than expected. The service was friendly and fairly prompt. Great family dinner spot.

Excellent experience. The food, service, atmosphere was all 10/10. The crab dip, filet, and pb pie are must orders. The trident boiler is also excellent, pictured below. Will be back!

Had a fantastic experience here! We went for my dad’s birthday lunch and the food was flavorful and generous portions. Everything was great but the best part was our server, Rob. Rob was funny and welcoming. He cracked jokes with my dad, was quick and attentive, brought us fresh fries when I dropped ours, and even brought my dad a beautiful birthday cheesecake. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Mannnnn I loved it here. The oysters and the mussels were YUM. They were having a $30 special on a dozen oysters (2.50 per) and who doesn't love a chorizo mussels combo moment (with the bread to soak all that broth up)! We also got the soft shell crab sandwich and fries. We liked that one, but something was just missing. It seemed there was effort into the flavors of the stuff that came on the sandwich but the softshell crab itself (potentially the batter) lacked some seasoning maybe. That all being said, our waitress was great, room temperature was good, comfortable seating, and a great place to take your family or even go on a date! (We saw both while we were there!)

If you are looking for a place that is kid friendly with good food options for the kids as well as good seafood for the adults this is the spot. The crab melts I'm your mouth. But could use a bit more seasoning. My husband really enjoyed his rockfish and the kids enjoyed the shrimp and chicken tenders. Also for those who have dairy allergies the crab cakes are dairy free but do make sure to check as chefs change their recipes. Lastly, even if you aren't a fan of tomatoes you have to give the fried green tomatoes a try. They are sweet and delicious!
