Consistently great!. I am admittedly a regular at this place, and with pretty good reason: every aspect of it is high quality. For starters, they keep some blends of coffee that are just outstanding (try the "Red Canoe" blend, or the "Baltimore" blend - both great and regularly available). In addition, the food is very good, in large part due to the freshness that is so evident in the taste. Their muffins (both the sweet and the savory options) are a mainstay of my wife's and mine on the weekends, and the sandwiches and wraps offer some really interesting - and delicious - flavor combinations (try the BLT wrap, made with pepper jelly and goat cheese). Still, perhaps the best kept food secret at Red Canoe: the hummus. I don't know exactly what they put in it, but ... Wow!

Food aside, the service is a big part of what keeps us coming back. Red Canoe has a cadre of locals that are as charming as they are attentive to their customers. Like the food, you can tell that the staff can't be found just anywhere. They are a big part of the place, and the pride they take in it is evident in the way they interact with the patrons, and how well the shop is run overall.

The only criticism I have of Red Canoe is that I wish it was open later.

The Best on Harford Road. Good food, great prices, and superlative service. This may be the best place to eat on Harford Road. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu: the muffins (sweet and savory), soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and paninis are all delicious. And even though the portions are generous, you won't feel yourself sluggish after you've cleaned your plate. They really focus on quality here, and you can taste it. It's so nice to have a neighborhood spot that is so reliably good.

Make a muffin run!. We make muffin runs to the Red Canoe! The muffins at this local joint is the unique element that sets the Red Canoe apart. We have hunted high and low for jus the right muffin in Baltimore. They are usually too sweet or over processed. Not at the Red Canoe! My personal favorite has chunks of mango holding the muffin together...moist and fresh...best slightly heated up and enjoyed with a black cup of Zeke's coffee!

Love it!. The menu had a nice selection of unique choices. I choice to go with the Red Canoe Wrap ($6.75)
with fresh roasted turkey sliced with craisins, pesto, and fresh greens and also served with a bag of chips. The wrap was very unique and delicious. My only thought would to be to have more pesto or something to give it a bit more dressing. I must say I might just be addicted to it! The combination and flavors were very satisfying.

Atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were friendly. Really cute little shop with plenty of space and a nice back patio. The coffee was absolutely delicious. We got the apple, bacon, and brie panini and weren't too impressed. We would go back for atmosphere and coffee

This cozy, artsy cafe offers freshly brewed Zekes coffee and delicious food (great vegetarian options). Artwork, children’s books and wood furniture adorn this neat cafe. Staff are friendly and helpful, though the building is a little tattered.

We love this lovely neighborhood coffee shop. Everything we have tried is delicious. They have coloring books and crayons for the kids. Indoor and outdoor seating. And a delicious menu besides the coffee/tea menu. I am partial to the Chai latte and the breakfast burrito with the Cajun remolade. My daughter loves the banana chocate chip muffin with juice and fruit. Stop by and check out the cute shop attached to the Cafe as well. Some great items for sale.

Such a nice and chill vibe. We unexpectedly visited with 14 people and crazy orders but the staff kindly turned up really delicious sandwiches, waffles, and coffees. Would recommend to stop by for a sip or bite.

Wonderful eclectic, very tasty sandwiches & wraps, soup, coffees, muffins. 5 stars just for the bacon & cheese corn muffin. Genius on tuna wrap with jalapeno jelly - who knew? There's a little something for everyone. The back patio & garden are a hidden gem. The staff is pleasant & not at all self-important or pretentious, which can be the case at other indie cafes in the city. And you will not wait forever for your latte drink.

Great place. The breakfast we had was delicious. The employees were very friendly. The cook even talked to us about the neighborhood and where she gets some of their ingredients. There was also a little shop attached where local artisans were selling their wares. My wife found some one of a kind greeting cards. This place makes you feel like you discovered a hometown secret. I will be going back and will probably bring friends.
