This place is still killing it , the sausage-fest of meat is tremendous , my favorite "The Pig-Newton" is the best in my opinion and "The Polock Johnny" is the closest thing to when I was a kid I ever had. Hush Puppies are to die for with the butter that is served with them , to get a better hush puppy you need to drive 4 hours south . They make a great "perfect manhattan" it doesn't matter which bartender you get , garnished with a Luxardo cherry. Love the atmosphere , very laid back customers, no pretentiousness in sight......

Wandered in looking for a cool spot to pass an hour. Very impressed with the menu. Enjoyed the Pho Real sandwich and a glass of wine. Felt relaxed here and felt truly welcomed by the staff, particularly Dean at the bar. Will return.

Everything I’ve ever had here at SHG was amazing. The vibes are great and you can’t go wrong w/ anything on the menu. I usually get the wings or sausage (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED—THEY BOTH GO HARD) Recently tried the “O’s Magic Chicken Sammy” and truffle fries and that combo was so good. The chicken and spice kick was perfect.

This place has a nice variety of sausages. Their drinks were good. I would definitely go back to try other menu items.

Snake Hill is a neighborhood pub on a typical Baltimore street corner with outside seating at picnic tables. Inside you will find a friendly bartender on duty behind the long scrabble-tiled bartop. The menu focus is on microbrews and sausage… the latter with multiple options ranging from exotic protein mixes (e.g. rabbit and rattlesnake, duck and bacon, ghost pepper and alligator) to the local Polock Johnny’s, complete with the fabled “Works” sauce. They also offer a variety of plant-based sausages. My duck and bacon was delicious and my husband had to have the Pho-Q—I suspect because he wanted to say it—a pork mix with Sriracha, Thai basil, and fennel. Our friend who introduced us to this local watering hole ordered the Johhny’s and we shared some freshly made onion rings. All washed down with tasty cold beers and definitely worthy of venturing inside the City limits again!

Fantastic local bar. Good beer selection. With $4 wildcard option that I always appreciate. Sausage was excellent — I had the Rico suave and will definitely be coming back again (not usually a hot dog person but this was just great). Fun bar covered in scrabble pieces. Friendly staff.

Whatca great place. Drinks were awesome. Food really good! Try the wings and all the sausages. The staff was super friendly! Only small drawback, which I am sure crowd dependant, was it got pretty loud and hard to hear my groups conversation. Looking forward to returning soon!

A great local tavern smack dab in the middle of Highlandtown. Excellent food - the sausages are spectacular - and a nice selection of local brews on tap. It's a tight squeeze sometimes, but that's how you meet new friends!

I think we need to go back for a second try. We had the pho sausage, the Peruvian sausage, and the special onion rings. The first bites were so flavorful and amazing. Then after a few bites we looked at each other and said at the same time that everything tasted so salty. He’s a salt fiend so I thought maybe it was just me, but we couldn’t finish it all. All to say, the flavors were unique enough that we must come back and try again. Maybe it was the day, just those dishes, but the vibe and the bartender create a perfect neighborhood spot. Definitely try it!!

Just grabbed to-go from them, and it was DELICIOUS. Great sausages and the bun-to-sausage ratio was perfect--in other words, you do not end up with a ton of bread and no sausage when eating. The truffle fries were excellent. I wish I still drank because the bar had a great vibe and a good selection of spirits. Highly recommend!
