Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant in Baltimore is a must-visit for any fan of Ethiopian cuisine. The food is authentic and delicious, and the service is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend the Dukem Veggie Combo, which is a great way to sample a variety of Ethiopian dishes. The injera bread is perfectl
A nice change of pace for us. The food was wonderful and added to a new and exciting dining experience. Best to review Ethiopian etiquette if you are not familiar with the food or culture. This will guarantee you will have a splendid time. Caution many dishes use jalapenos. So the menu leans towards
This was a completely new cuisine for me, so I didn't know what to expect. The crepe-like side dish (Njera?) was delicious and I could really eat it plain as well. The curries were all flavorful as well. I would highly recommend the sampler of vegetarian curries. There were so many options that cam
AMAZING FOOD!!! We came with a big group and was served quickly with amazing food. I recommend the Sambosa as an appetizer. The sambosa is flaky and taste good with lots of spices. Then we ended up getting unity platter with mixture of dishes both with meat and veggies. The next dish that came out i
Make sure you check out Dukem in Baltimore. The food is great, the customer service is amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like you've actually stepped into a restaurant in Ethiopia! Not to mention if you get a chance to meet Biruk, he's amazing and he'll make you feel like he's hosting you at
Me and my wife stopped in here for lunch, we both love Ethiopia food and were ecstatic that we could find some around the hospital area. The food was 5/5 and the dessert was 10/5. I highly recommend stopping in here for some great food.
Edit: this is like the sixth or seventh time I get the veggie combo. There’s still new dishes!! Love it!! And still amazing service. Damn the veggie combo I’ve gotten three times each time it’s different and each time it’s 16 pieces of delicious authentic goodness. SO many flavors, some sweet, s
Upstairs was closed when I arrived. There were a few tables set up outside to dine. This made the restaurant seem very cozy (with appx. 4 small tables to sit at) downstairs. With a steady stream of people picking up to go orders, I knew the food was going to be good. The recommendations from the w
We got the regular beef tibs and fried fish with rice. Omg everything was so yummy and flavorful, even the side salad and tomato puree. I'm no expert on Ethiopian cuisine but this was definitely the best taste of it I've had so far. Can't wait to try more of their dishes!!
The BEST Ethiopian food around !!!! Amazing service, very kind and treat you like family. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed! Biruk is awesome!
Seriously authentic and delicious. Went for a friend's birthday with a party of 5 and was seated immediately. Had Ethiopean beers and starters to begin with, then on to curries, vegetarian dishes and fish. It was absolutely wonderful and would highly recommend it. Best in Baltimore!
We're spoiled for so many options in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. We visited Baltimore for the first time and decided to come here on a Sunday afternoon. As always, Ethiopian food is so delicious. We've had so many in the area and they all can't be the best. However, Dukem was very good and
Absolutely delicious! This was my first experience with Ethiopian food and I was not disappointed. Food was incredible, waitstaff were super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!
The service here is amazing. The ladies were pleasant, patient and helped us figure out which meals we may prefer. The food was also really good and approved by the Ethiopian in our group. My favourite was the veggie sambusa!
I’m not quite sure what I choose, but it was delicious. The service was great, and portions were perfect. Don’t be afraid of the price it’s completely worth it. I will definitely come back to this family own restaurant.
Overall, the experience was very good. The quality of the food was the best part of this experience, offering an opportunity to experience new cuisine. Portion sizes, however, were smaller than expected for a party of 3, and wait staff didn't check in during the meal. I would rate this experience a
Dukem is a tiny little Ethiopian restaurant West of Mount Vernon, near the cultural corridor. They have very good food at a very reasonable price. We shared a combination platter, and there was plenty of food to stuff two people. They're a bit negligent on keeping drinks on the table, hence the 4 st
