I grew up in Germany and the fresh baked breads and pastries there. Patisserie Poupon is like a taste of home!

We purchased croissants and canelés here. The croissants were great, and we got five. I think the canelés were undercooked, the outside is too soft and the inside is too gooey. We took one canelé home and air fried it for seven minutes at 400°, and it turned out much better. I suspect they may be cooking their canelés in silicone molds, which is not ideal. Service was definitely subpar. We will be back for the croissants, and hope they get copper molds for their future canelés.

I've been here a few times, and it's such a quaint and awesome pastry shop. And it's always so delicious!

There aren't many places in the area offering quality desserts. This bakery is amazing!

Wow!! Beautiful in every way—presentation, taste, freshness.
My colleague bought us 6 or so of the pastries, and I personally tried the apricot danish, and a walnut-filled croissant. I usually find pastry items too sweet, but these were perfect. The sugar glaze is light but delicious. The freshness is also a plus. I don’t even normally like apricots, but the danish may have converted me.

First rate classic French pastry shop
Friendly service with a variety of cakes, tarts, pastries and breads. The Illy coffee makes the visit even better!

Delightful, refreshing treats. Beautiful dessert shop. I've wanted to try Macarons for about 10 years now and I'm glad I came here for my first ones. I also got the lemon meringue, along with the strawberry cake.

My family and I have patronized this bakery for over 20 years, my sister even worked here for a few years as well. The tarts, breads and eclairs are perhaps not quite as exquisite as before Mr. Poupon retired, but still delicious and exciting to eat. My favorites are the pear, tart and pistachio eclair.

I've only been to this bakery once, but I will definitely return. The selection was a couple dozen different fancy pastries. I bought 3 items, including an apricot danish and 2 fancy pastries. A
All 3 were excellent. The prices we reasonable for the sort of high-end pastries they sell. It's take-out only. Street parking was not an issue right out front. It is a safe area unlike a nearby local bakery I decided to drive away from on S. Broadway a few minutes earlier. Service was polite and fast. I'll definitely visit this little bakery again regularly when I'm in the inner harbor and fells point area.
