Steak 'n Shake

Service was good and food arrived quickly. This would be great for a quick bite or short lunch for time. $3 value meal is available but I would go for the full menu item as the value burger is a little lacking. Great for kids or a very small appetite. Wide variety of shake flavors. Many people know you dip those skinny fries into your shake for a salty sweet experience.

Under staffed. If they paid workers more it would give employees more incentive to actually work. Service is slow. Generally a good place to go late at night, as most other places are closed, but I would not go most other times. The good is delicious and the shakes are incredible. The quality of the food is great and the prices are low, but the service makes the experience a poor one.

I used to love late nights at steak and shake with friends but things have gotten worse. The service is incredibly slow at all times. The floors are somehow wet from mopping and still sticky from all the spilled grease 24/7. At this point I'm not even sure I would try their drive thru or online orders anymore. There are simply many other better options available in the area that are in the same price range.

Very bad experiences today. We ordered our food. Waited about 35 minutes, we had to ask for our chili which should have been given to us much quicker. Then our burgers came, all were wrong, mine did not have any sauce, my husband's had mayo that he did not want. We had to ask for our chili again! The first one was for my kid's chili. My kid ordered Macaroni and cheese, guess what, it never came after we asked for twice! Then we did not have our cookies even I saw other customers had their cookies without asking! So I was upset and asked the waitress why we had to ask for everything? She said (without any apologies) that she had more than one tables not only us! She felt that this was the way it should be - that customers had to ask for everything throughout the entire meal!!! So disappointed!

Walked in at 5:30 on a Friday night. The place was nearly empty 80% of the tables still dirty with dishes, waited 5 minutes just to get seated at a dirty table smeared with katsup... She said let me clean that, never came back. Waited 5 more minutes and no one ever came to our table. 7-8 employees standing around in back doing nothing. I got up and walked out. Filthy restaurant with terrible service. I had no intention of eating their food after looking at all the dirty tables around me including the one they sat us at. A drive thru customer was coming in as we left because of a wrong order. I'll never go back there.

AVOID FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AT LEAST. Awful management. Been to this location dozens of times over decades and never had as bad of service today ever. In any restaurant. In the world. Would not get us silverware or napkins the entire meal until we asked the manager. The (only) waiter (in the entire restaurant) threatened to quit multiple times throughout the meal, while the manager was actively interviewing. Food was great. Management was world class terrible.
