Orchid Cafe

We had our wedding reception in the Orchid Room. All of the staff we encountered were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our guests really enjoyed exploring the nature preserve, and we got a lot of compliments regarding how beautiful the venue was. We are so happy with our choice! These pictures are from when we toured the venue.

Our wedding there was perfect. We love the outdoors so having the ceremony in the gardens was what we were looking for. The outdoor butterfly house and indoor orchid rain forest atrium created wonderful pictures. The guests enjoyed the view and all there was to do. At night, the string lights over the gardens created such a nice ambiance. Most importantly, Big Show Catering did such a great job with the food. I think every guests told us how much the loved the food. They even made our wedding cake which came out even better then we imagined.

My wedding there was wonderful. The food was some of the best catered food I have ever had. The dessert was even included and we had our wedding cake and cupcakes made there. They were yummy! The dark chocolate was so moist and the icing was just as I asked for. We had a wine and mimosa bar with exotic juices and garnishes. That was a big hit. WE got to keep the leftovers and enjoyed them again. The staff was on top of everything before we even had to ask. I was able to enjoy the entire night. The guests loved touring the indoor atrium; it was very romantic and so were the outdoor gardens.

I attended an intimate wedding there. What a view! The gardens were amazing, and the indoor atrium was great for pictures. There was a live parrot in the orchid atrium that kept imitating peoples laughs; which made us laugh more! At night, the string bulb lights really set the ambiance. The food was so wondeful. It was the best roast beef, pasta, and salad; not the typical bland catered food.

Great lunch spot in the gardens and greenhouses of Lorain Metroparks in Avon. Delicious Salads, sandwiches, wraps and treats are offered at reasonable prices that can be enjoyed inside or out. A little gem in the Lorain county Metroparks. Also available for private parties. We recently had a wedding ceremony and reception there originally planned for outdoors. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans but the staff put together a plan B that in some ways was better than the original. We had the ceremony in the conservatory and the staff moved benches, plants, etc. to accommodate the guests. It was beautiful! The caterer (Big Show Catering ) set up the Orchid Room perfectly, handling all guests with room to dance and socialize. The food was OUTSTANDING! If you're on a budget or would rather forgo a large wedding, this is a perfect venue.

My cousin had her wedding here, such a beautiful event center! Food was outstanding, would’ve given it a 5 star but catering company was less that on the ball with follow up and return calls in the planning process. Overall everything was on point. Beautiful outdoor grounds for photos anytime of the year.

What a hidden gem in Avon. I had gone there for Easter Brunch last year and the food was so wonderful. My sons fiance booked her shower there. The ladies enjoyed the view of the indoor and outdoor gardens. The salads and stratas were very well received, too. I highly recommend the french toast blackberry buckle. The cake they did for the shower looked straight out of pinterest. The also made chocolate covered strawberries in her colors and a signature sangria in her colors. We really enjoyed it! I do recommend getting the chaircovers and bows for that added beauty. It looked great in pictures, and we took family pictures outside in the gardens.
