Simply delicious breakfast and scrumptious pastries. Their made out of scratch sourdough bread and desserts are some of the best I have ever tasted. Oh and the prices are just right!
Really cute, old-school bakery & deli. My daughter and I planned to share a sandwich, and when she said she wanted a steak sandwich, I was not super excited… until I ate it! It was probably the best steak sandwich I ever had. My other daughter loved her tuna sandwich. Everything was really tasty and clearly made with care. Great pastry selection at reasonable prices.
Delightful little spot in Avon for breakfast and lunch! We usually eat here once or twice a year when visiting Avon and have always had good experiences. Recently had lunch and everything was delicious. We tried the quiche Lorraine, spinach quiche, and Philly cheesesteak. Everything was great but the quiche Lorraine was the favorite! They also give a dessert with lunch orders and we were treated to key lime pie, which was a great ending to the meal. Service was friendly and fast and the spot was bustling with customers.
The cashier was very nice. We've been to Avon in the past but this was our first time here, as it was recommended by someone. The pastries tasted fresh. The strawberry danish is delicious. Bought it for a snack later in the day and it was great warmed up. The breakfast wrap (minus the meat) was tasty and I enjoyed the spinach tortilla. My partner had a pastry and the breakfast sandwich and was pleased. One of the few spots in the area that provide flavor. The only negative was seeing other patrons come and go but no one was wiping the tables between visits.
Excellent breakfast sandwich. Be advised that the pastries are not ready til 9:30/10:00 each morning. At least 6 people came into the restaurant asking for the pastries while I ate my breakfast; I suggest the owners make the pastry timetable clear in all their communications.
The food is fresh & great. Been coming here for a few years & praise must be given to the women at the counter. These two women keep an amazingly pleasant demeanor in the face of needy people & awful Texans. Good work, I know I couldn't be so seemingly positive. Calling all you fat cats to generously tip this crew
We saw great reviews of this place and called ahead to make sure they’re open till 6. Reached there at 5 and they were completely sold out except for 4 Danishes. We bought all 4. The family thinks they’ve not had better danishes. Hence the 5 stars. The coffee was good as well.
I love the cakes there, but I’ve noticed every time I get out of work to get some it’s closed. And it says they’re open till 6pm. ( I get out at 4) it’s quite the shame.
I’m going to update this but leave the old one. I gave them another shot and while it still isn’t what it used to be, they’ve hired back some of the front of the house staff that kept things moving and knew what was going on. They still don’t have all the same pastries which is unfortunate but understandable as the original baker is surely hard to replace. The food was much better this time! It seems they’ve taken some of the negative comments on here from long time patrons to heart and I appreciate the effort.
*First review* I came here at least once a week, if not more, for years and it was the best lunch spot in the valley. After my recent visit, I’m done with this place. Since new ownership took over they don’t do free desert with lunch, the quality of the bread and sandwiches have diminished, they’ve done away with staple cookies and baked goods, and the once friendly staff no longer exists. I’m sad to post this as I think we’ve lost one of the last really good local spots.
This is the most amazing place ever. I love going there and getting their beautiful sandwiches in the display, they are the best. The raspberry cookies and the ham and cheese croissants are really good too. In fact everything is good there.
