Golden Chick

Not sure who was working the evening shift of July 4. But I drove around the building because it looked like it was closed no cars whatsoever no people inside either but it turns out 3 of the employees were outside in the back smoking out of a pipe. 1 white male and 2 females. I drove off because I did not want to be served by those employees. Very disgusting I hope they get disciplined or terminated.

Manager in charge @12:36 said cannot refund cancelled order because it has been too long. Also, they have not answered the phone when called. I left the store and now there is a lobby closed temporarily sign. What should have been done was to offer another meal exactly like the canceled order. Update: Manager said he called police on us for impeding his business. We work, too, and we are waiting for a refund.

I ordered the half and half fried and roasted early in the afternoon and they did not have any roasted chicken. Over priced for fried chicken and $2 extra dollars for me to substitute a side order. The green beans were served in a drinking cup and the Mac and chz was cold. For the price I paid I feel like I deserved hot food and better quality. Not satisfied by far.

Customer service killed it. Worst and rudest we have ever had at a restaurant. Corn nuggets where still frozen. If they were not so rude we would have went back to fix the issue but my husband was called the N word by the cashier and we saved ourselves a arguement. Never had a situation like this anywhere. Good chicken or not we will no longer be a customer of Golden Chick.

Worst location in Austin, Texas! Rudest customer service, never have the food you are looking to buy, i bought a salad and the lettuce was brown and the tomatoes were very soft as if they were old. They never have the Rotisserie chicken they have on the menu. We asked for the managers name and she stated she didn't have to provide us with that information and if we wanted to file a complaint we would have to go online. We live in South East austin and have to drive all the way to Oak Hill if we want Rotisserie. This is very inconvenient and we cannot believe this is the type of people you hire to run your store or even work in your store. This place needs a major upgrade on their food and their employees!

The catfish and shrimp were wonderful. 😋🥳 Fyi🌟 TheUsual includes a 30oz drink, that I didn't want. I noticed that the Drink was the same price as a Side, so I asked for & received a substitution. Fried Okra!👍 Drove out of my way to this location, because there is no Golden Chick in my neighborhood and my Mama wanted ⬆️. 100% worth it.
