Going for Popeyes holiday turkey? WATCH OUT.
I just bought one of their baked/fried turkeys from the Wm Cannon & So Congress location. It was spoiled, we got sick.
I returned to the location with the receipt, original packaging, and turkey and asked for a refund. They refused to refund my VISA charge of $60.
The manager stated it would have a negative impact on their daily receipts/revenue if she refunded the charge.
They said they didn't care if i reported this incident to the health department or left a negative review. They said they wouldn't call the corporate office to get clearance for the refund. They said if i didn't leave, they would call the police.
I said, returning a turkey for quality issues is no different then returning a bad piece of chicken. Again, they said they didn't care. They were more interested in reporting a higher daily revenue.
They offered me nothing. Not even a replacement turkey.
BUYER BEWARE.
Other Issues:
1. Was frozen into an odd shape. It could only be cooked and served on its side.
2. I tried to return the turkey to a closer popeyes location, (Slaughter La), and the mgr said NO. This sale came from another location. Get it out of Wm Cannon's cash drawer.

Just wanted to give some recognition to the crew at this location. Every time I order there I can see them all hustling and working hard to get orders done and out the window. Always with a smile and the food is so good. Thank y'all honestly for helping me out when I'm just not up for cooking. Keep up the good work.

Was hoping to add Popeyes to my “takeout treat” list. Big positive: the lady at the drive through was super sweet and chatted with me as we waiting for the chicken to be packed. Unfortunately, when I got back I opened the box and found two legs and a thigh for my three piece instead of two thighs and a leg. A bit stingy considering how cheap chicken thighs are. Then I tasted it. Most generous description would be “meh”. Tried the coleslaw, nasty. Tried the biscuit, it was tough. Very disappointed. Will not be going back.

This place runs out of almost all of their food three hours before close. I have multiple times received cold food from this location. By cold I don't mean sitting under a heat lamp for too long or not fresh, I mean literally straight out of a fridge. Literally every other Popeyes I've been to is better.

This place needs to be shut down, horrible customer service, went through the drive tru and order a 3 piece spicy with dark meat, I tried the leg right there and it was mild, the lady told me that she put spicy and it was not, grabs the box from me and puts another leg inside and it was mild again, by now I am very upset and just leave, I get to work and they forgot my straw, fries that I paid for and got mild chicken. They give you attitude at this place and act like they are giving you free food! Never going back to Popeyes ever again!

These guys need to order extra inventory when a popular item in advertised, like the flounder fish sandwich. I have tried two times to order this item and both times they were out. I feel like this location does not have a " sense of urgency " when it comes to advertised items. I wish there was another Popeyes in the southwest part of South Austin.

Only 2 cars in the drive thru, including myself. It took at least 10 minutes before I could order. I ordered 1 spicy chicken sandwich and a 3 piece combo with coleslaw as my side, as well as another side of mashed potatoes. Young lady said they were out of coleslaw, which was strange, so I ordered an additional side of mashed potatoes. When I got to the window, I asked another employee if they were really out of coleslaw. He said no, so I ordered a side of coleslaw. When I got home, I received a chicken sandwich comprised of 2 mild chicken tenders with a bun. They also forgot the additional mashed potatoes I paid for. It’s just pure laziness.

Giving this Popeye’s a 1 star is overrated, but it was what I had to give in order to write a review. The customer service is HORRIBLE and even this is too good of a description. I went thru the drive to place an order, when I got guy (I later found out is the manager) asked if he could help me several times, I told him give me a moment. Then when I went to tell him my order he rudely told me, just a minute there is a car at my window. I asked him why did he ask to help me if he wasn’t going to take my order. He again rudely said one minute, I have a car at my window. What confused me was the car was at the window when I pulled up and I saw it along with the other car that was directly in front of me, so I wasn’t sure why he felt like he needed to tell me this. Because I already saw it when I pulled up. I told him never mind I no longer want to order. Unfortunately when I was trying to reverse out of the drive thru a car pulled up behind me and I had to wait the 20 minutes for him to give the 1st and 2nd car their order. So not only are they rude but extremely slow as well. Honestly, they don’t deserve the 1 star I gave being generous. I understand working serving people can be stressful but RUDENESS is never acceptable. If I didn’t have to go to work I would have gotten his name and called corporate.
