I am a die hard dim sum lover and this place does it justice. Seriously, it is tasty, cooked well, and the best part: THE PRICE. Dim sum is a small meal and should not be heavy on price. How they do it here is just right.
Now it's not your "glorious, expensive looking" Chinese restaurant. It's just a "hole in the wall" but it's clean, and comfortable.
Don't worry about cart service. They have a dim sum menu (sometimes you have to ask for it) with pictures and prices. Just start with the fried shrimp balls and go from there. You will not regret it.
This review is based solely on Dim Sum. I have never ordered off the regular menu but their Dim Sum, although rather limited during the week and in the evenings, is great. It is one of the only places that serves Dim Sum all the time so it is always made to order and therefore fresh. The price is reasonable and the service is good. The building itself needs to be updated but I'm not there to eat the wallpaper. The menu has all the basics, about 20items, and I would recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Dim Sum.
Salt and pepper anything delicious. Tasty dumplings and quality soups. Weekend dimsum is fun but can be pricey. Some of the portions are better ordered off the menu. T & S has long been a favorite late night hangout, they are open till 1 am Thurs. through Sun.
We've been coming here for years. Dim Sum can't be beat and the fish is some of the freshest around. Yeah, the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but you'll forget about that (and the crappy parking) once you've had your first bite.
Best dim sum in town. They are one of the few places that does a very traditional dim sum.
Get sum dim sum. Also my dad's favorite place for lunch in Austin.
