This was my first taste of Vietnamese foods and I love it. I have gone back several times after I graduated just to eat here. Clean establishment, friendly staff and great prices in addition to delicious food.

My 1st time.Just tried their combination fried rice. Was actually surprised at how good it is. And the hot and sour soup is to die for. Egg rolls are very small, ingredients ...not much. But still very scrumptious. Definitely worth going again. Oh. Extremely happy with the prices and portions.

This place was a favorite for my older brother when he was a student at UT, and now it is a favorite for me as a student. Lunch plates typically include a soup and drink at an affordable price perfect for students seeking a quick meal during the day. I recommend the hot and sour soup and triple delight. Yummy!

Everything was great, right up to the point where we met the new owner. Place was clean, food was really good, service was good, price was good, and it was nice to have a chat with the new owner but BUT I predict doom and gloom in this restaurant's horizon. He wasn't particularly interested in learning how I drove up & down the road before finally aiming towards his restaurant, and then had to decide between vietnamese and the indian restaurant in the same parking area. We got out of the car and stood in the parking lot in order to decide vietnamese vs. indian. LISTENING is the new owner's issue, I think. He was enthusiastic and told us all about how he wanted to be the best Pho restaurant in all of the Austin area. "Only Pho Round Rock" is the new business name, losing decades of brand recognition. Bad move, dude. No one cares a rip about going to the best Pho restaurant anywhere. It's soup. It's just soup. Plain, ordinary, everyday soup. And on hot days (it's Austin), who drives long distances to get the "best" super hot liquid food in the entire City. Sorry dude, it's a nice dream and all, but I think it's a dumb one. You have a neighborhood restaurant and you ignore 20 years of customers and what they way (it's not Pho) instead of what you want to serve (Pho) at your financial peril. Someone needs to stop you, I think, before you ruin a good thing. And it's a minor thing, but PLEASE, all restaurants, ALL restaurants need to make their young service staff STOP saying "No Problem" every time they have an interaction with a customer. The approprate response to "Thank you" is NOT "No Problem". Idiot. And if I ask "May I please have chop sticks?", the appropriate response is "Yes", or "I'll get them right away." and it is NOT "No Problem". I have a PROBLEM with "No Problem", first because it creates an awareness of a denial of the existance of a problem. No one was thinking problem until you, you young twit, started "No Problem"-ing me at every single opportunity. And besides that, I'm the paying customer. *I* decide if there's a problem or not, and NOT you. Duh. I don't need you (or anyone else) to give me a constant barrage of "no problems" every time I need a refill of my iced tea, or whatever. But that's minor, and endemic to the entire (retarded) generation. The main point here is that the new owner is so busy trying to realize his own dream that he may not be able to hear the voice of his paying customers, and believe me, that WILL be a "problem".

As a UT student, I thought this place was pretty good. As campus food, it's convenient, well prepared, and pretty quick. If you venture off campus, you will easily find better food in all genres, but because it's so close, I would get something from here pretty frequently.

Best Chinese food near campus that is fresh, hot and delicious. Don't try anywhere else. If you get one of the featured specials of the day, it comes with your choice of soup and a egg roll for about $8. Great deal and good food.
