Taco with picadillo was good. Nice, homemade taco shell. Queso, enchiladas, rice and beans were all good...nothing extraordinary, but good, quality standard tex-mex fare. Next time I'll order one of the ribeyes or fajitas as both looked great. The margaritas were not to sweet, which is how I prefer it, but they probably could have had a little more tequila in them.
Awesome little Mexican place on east 7th. Soccer playing on the tvs and a very authentic atmosphere inside. Waitresses speak English with an accent. If youre looking for a hidden mexican gem, this is a good bet.
My partner and I LOVE this place! Even though we moved out of the neighborhood, we still come back to Los Comales because the food is amazing and the atmosphere is second to none. There’s one waitress whom I have accidentally referred to as my mom because I love her and she is so sweet and kind!! The food here is AMAZING!

First of all, the waitress greeted us with a friendly smile as soon as we walked in y Los Bukis was playing too so I knew I had arrived.We were served with the freshest chips y salsa that i can remember having. I had chicken fajita and my co worker had chicken enchiladas. The food was Deliciosa. The waitress was friendly and personable. The sweet tea was good. The atmosphere was pleasant. I want to go back and have a few drinks at the bar. Stop by and have yourself some good food and a good time. I DID‼️
Pretty laid back place right here!! And our server was super cool and down to earth he thought my girlfriend and I was locals from Austin lol. I started off with a water and lemon and a iced cold beer (Victoria) then some chips and salsa and that salsa was super good I think I had like 3 cups of it. Then I chose to order the Flautas with beans and rice on the side and the flautas was perfectly cooked with a crispy fried tortilla with hot shredded pork in them I will return next time I’m in Austin
Just stopped by accident. The server was very welcoming. The food was very hot and very good. I highly recommend.
Loved the big open family space this restaurant has. Very nice staff. When I looked at the menu I thought the prices looked pretty intimidating but once we got the food it was definitely worth it. The Guisado de Puerco en chile cascabel was a house special and it had such a rich and delicious flavor! The chicken mole enchiladas were made with poblanos and had a deep chocolate flavor. I will say that the drink prices were a little too high compared to other places in Austin and I wish they were a little more affordable. Overall a good experience!
Our server was the best! We are from Indianapolis, IN. And we are interested in a big Austin move and he really gave us alot of knowledge and took the time to also tell us about other really good food spots around. The food was also great! The queso was a little spicy as I've heard others say but still tasty. It was a good experience. We had the chicken flautas.

First time here and we totally loved it..we opted for sitting Outdoors being that it was a beautiful night.
Drinks are amazing especially the classic Margarita & the mango margarita and beer is nice and cold.
The food: the T-Bones or Ribeye, the shrimp cocktail, the Diablo shrimp...all had amazing flavor....only tip for the owner is it would be nice if you change from package flour tortillas to hand made flour ones...
Other than that...this place is a must.
Great food, nice traditional atmosphere. Friendly wait staff, food was served quickly, beer was cold, all around decent Mexican restaurant!
I ordered the Freddy Burrito with beef fajita meat, which was flavorful with big tender strips of beef.
Only complaint was I had to wait awhile for the check.

The outside isn't much to look at, neither is the inside really. We stopped for a cheap taco, scared of the menu prices, we ordered relatively small (#34 and cheese enchiladas) and was blown away by the flavor. The tortillas were awesome. Would totally go back! Well worth the money!
