Easy to overlook, but a mistake if you do.

It's the easiest thing to drive by - the sign isn't much, and the place looks, well, forbidding (like a dive, actually). Thing is, it's pretty far from that inside - the sushi-chefs are a wee bit wizardly, the owner/staff are friendly and welcoming, the service is top-notch, and the sushi is great.
Ok, let's go a bit further - the sushi is actually *stellar*. The baseline sushi is just plain good, but the inventive stuff is, as I said, *stellar*. Seared, or sprinkled, or savory, it doesn't matter - the stuff all works, and is definitely worth having. (Great sashimi platters too, while I'm at it.)
Lastly, it's fairly inexpensive (for sushi that good). For a full on omoakase, with 330ml of sake each, you'll probably get away paying between $60 and $100 (which, seriously, is a steal)

A cute little restaurant. Love the service. The food was tasty and fresh. Very down to earth place for casual hang out. Need to come back for the karaoke !

My 4 star rating is for karaoke night on Thursdays. What a trip! Order a few sushi rolls, some sake, and sit back and enjoy the show. DK is a hilarious "host" and the drunk people sure put on a show. Not sure if it's a requirement to do a sale bomb with DK after your performance, but it seems like it!

Excellent food and reasonable prices! Very friendly wait staff and the atmosphere is somehow both casual and classy. Plus they do karaoke so bonus! Highly recommend this place for a quick lunch or a fancy dinner and everything in between.

Holy Damn! That's all you need to know. This place beats #KURASushi which is a few streets down the road.
I got the 10 pc sashimi chef's choice. O.M.G. it's like butter melting in your mouth. Wow! You won't regret eating here.

I've lived in North Central Austin for a few years and never tried DK before. I liked that the vibe is comfortable and affordable - not too pretentious at all. The quality of the food is not reflected in the prices. The sushi is inventive and fresh. The staff us friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations didn't disappoint.

I went on karaoke night so I have two scores. Thursday night karaoke was a great experience - solid 5! Unfortunately, food /drinks was just okay - 3!. DK was hilarious. The energy of the place was incredible. The food was not as remarkable as the karaoke fun. Maybe I had higher expectations since I heard good things about the food at DK Sushi. I am going to give it another shot and order different items in their menu. Fun place to go on Thursday night.
