I visited Heros Gyros for the first time and it was DELICIOUS!! They were at the Texas Book Festival. I am a plant based eater and this food did not disappoint. After receiving my order, several people I passed asked where I got the food because it smelled so good. Thanks Heros Gyros! I'll be back!!

Had the food truck outside the hospital. The foods great but the service was even better. I was headed somewhere else to eat but stopped here looking at the menu. He asked if I needed help and he said they would let me order even though they were closing. Such great service and would definitely come back no doubt. I want to support business’s like this.

We have a different food truck every Friday and Hero's Gyros is far and away my favorite. The beef and lamb gyro is my favorite. The philly cheese steak is also delish. Great servers, reasonable prices and consistently great food make this one of my favorite Fridays!

I was introducing some family to mediterranean food, I was so happy to to find Heroes open, late on a Wednesday. I'd been wanting to come here since they opened several years ago. First off, the lady at the counter was very sweet, kind, and patient with us as we looked over the menu as well as helpful answering any questions. The atmosphere was lovely, it'd be a hip place in better times. The food was amazing and fast. The Sharma was I think the fav of the table, with the chicken and lamb gyros trumping the beef. The fryer was off, good ben the time, so we couldn't try the falafel or the fries but we got the other half of the menu. No one had room for the baklava, but we ordered a bunch to go! Check it out, even during the pandemic, no business with that great a food and good prices should be that slow!

Clean and organized. Meat was nicely seasoned and had a good balance of tenderness and crust. Sorry I only got the meat, next time I'll try the whole meal, but the price was fair and I was definitely satisfied. I would go again and recommend to others. Thanks for cooking out by my complex! Hope you had some wine!

I visit from NY often and Hero’s gyros is the best gyros you will have in Austin hands down! The owners take legitimate care and pride in making sure that everything served is of quality. Every single sandwich is made with flavor and love. When I come to Austin, this is where I go for a quality, amazing meal. Each gyro or sandwich beyond CA and worth every single Bite. Highly,Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal!

Hands down the best Gyros we have had every time we are in Austin we try and get one if time permits. But this time I tried the Philly cheese steak and .an that was just as good. Highly recommended trying both.

I was in Austin and come across Hero Gyro truck downtown and decided to stop. We got the beef and lamb gyro, a cheesesteak and a couple of lemonades. The gyro is stuffed full with delicious beef/lamb meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tziki. The cheesesteak was on nice hoagie roll and came with grilled peppers and onions. The lemonade was perfect too. The guys were super friendly and got our order ready really fast. Good service and a good amount of food for the price; that’s what will bring us back next time we’re in Austin for sure.
