Went in for a quick meal after a soccer match and man did these guys deliver. My daughter finished hers before I could take a pic but she got the All American sub which was awesome. I had a regular Turkey and did it hit the spot. For both subs it came out to under $12!! That’s insane in todays market lol. Great value, great service, and great subs. Will definitely remember this place.

I just wanted to give a shout out to someone that works here. I had a horrible experience at another location and chose this one stead. I called and mentioned the stress I had at the other location, while ordering. The sweet angel of a person on the other end of the line, was Kathryn. She apologized and was so kind to me while taking my order. It wasn’t even her store location but she made me experience so much better. I came in to pick up my order and when I proceeded to pay she said it was on the house. I did not expect this at all and told her no I could accept that. She insisted and was the kindest soul I’ve come across in a very long time. Just a reminder that a little bit of empathy can go a long, long, way with someone. It definitely made my whole day. Thank you KATHRYN!! You are amazing and deserve all the happiness in life. Ps. Please give her a raise!!

Huge ThunderCloud location with very friendly sandwich makers! They had sprouts on hand the time that I went, and it's always 50/50 at any ThunderCloud whether they'll have sprouts. My sandwich was made exactly how I wanted it and I was in and out of there in only a few minutes!

Best tuna sandwich in Austin! Only gave 4 stars on service because they got the bread wrong on our sandwiches. It was a phone order, so we couldn't correct it. This is only the 2nd time I've had a mishap from them. I still highly recommend getting your sandwich here.

These poor poor employees. I think the sandwich artist felt so bad she made my pastrami sandwich extra delicious. If you go right after school let's out, there's about 30 children running around screaming holding other establishments food. Please thank these employees and be patient, they're co-running a daycare from 3-5:30pm.

I’ve been in Austin since ‘97 and love this place. The food is spot on and the nada chicken was delicious. On the other hand, front of the house was not clean and every table was dirty and we had to clean our table to be able to sit and eat. Hopefully, they take more care of the front of the house.

The aroma in there took me back to a sub shop that I worked and went to in the '80s. I loved it. The subs are fresh made right in front of you to your order. All made with fresh ingredients. Couldn't get any better

Still a classic sandwich shop with very reasonable prices even with what everything costs now. If you're hungry but don't want a large, get a small with double meat. You can't do that with the meatball sub but it works great with a tuna. Always clean, polite, quick, and if they aren't to busy, you can get in a cool conversation but it's rare that they are not busy.

Under $6 for a large Italian style sub sandwich. Delicious and fresh. Great service always and fun music while you enjoy your lunch break 🙂
Update:-I just tried a new one today: The Big Paul
This thing is packed with all sorts of cold cuts and doesn't disappoint! Don't sleep on it like I did lol.

Love the staff and vibe and this specific ThunderCloud. I’ve been to many in the city, but this location remains my favorite. Mitch is an amazing manager and makes sure I am well taken care of every time I go in and the rest of the crew is super chill. Every sandwich comes out super yummy. Highly recommend!

Great local Austin chain for fresh handmade subs. It's build-your-own with the help of a friendly counter person. There are lots of choices and the ingredients are all really fresh, much more so than most sub shops I've visited. There are also vegetarian and vegan options, including a plant-based "chicken" option in the form of a breaded patty. Most meats are available, including pastrami, bacon, turkey, ham, tuna salad, and others. There's a nice selection of toppings and a nice take on Italian dressing that goes well with most any sub. Definitely worth a visit!
